My Pallet Collection

Hey guys! I'm back with the January theme of All About Makeup. This post is about all the pallets that I have in my makeup collection.

BH Cosmetics

I was at my best friends house and I saw that she had all these pallets. When I opened them up, I thought I was in color heaven! I've never seen so many colors in a pallet before and I now have 3 pallets from BH Cosmetics. I love how pigmented the shadows are and just how many colors you have to create endless looks. I stopped myself at 3 because I don't think I would even use all the pallets they have.

NYX

The first pallets I got by Nyx were the glitter ones. I found them in the clearance section in Ulta sometime last year. I've only used them once or twice but I love how the glitter looked. I purchased the Natural pallet when Ulta was having a sale on all Nyx stuff. I love the neutral colors in the pallet and how you can create a soft or dark look.

Urban Decay

Funny thing is, I have not used either one of these pallets yet, lol! I've heard so many good things about Urban Decay shadows so I wanted to try them out. I got the shadow box pallet on the Ulta website for 10.00 during the 21 Days of Beauty sale. I got the Shattered Pallet last month on sale for 29.00 and I do have a post about it. Hopefully sometime soon I will dig into these so I can review them!

Too Faced

I was so back and forth about purchasing this pallet but I'm glad I did. I love this Natural At Night pallet. You can create soft, daytime look or vamp it up for a night out.I love the size of it, great for traveling with or to just have handy in case you need to touch up you look. The shadows are so pigmented and smooth. The pallet also comes with a few cards with different looks you can create. I haven't tried any of them yet but I think I will sometime.I think I would try more pallets by Too Faced.

MAC

Surprise, surprise! There is a MAC pallet in here lol! I was so lucky to get this from the Fall Rihanna collection. I was drawn to this one more because of the neutral colors in the pallet. I haven't used this one yet but will be soon.

Elf

I've had this pallet for a while and I think it was one of the first pallets I purchased. I got this at Target during the holiday time, I believe it was only 5.00. I love how it helps you with creating looks step by step and the variety of colors it gives.

What are your favorite pallets? Which ones would be great to try next? Comment and let me know!

I need a vacation soon, somewhere warm and sunny!
I'm going to attempt the Squat challenge for the third time next month and I'm determined to finish it, this time!
I wonder why they keep saying the Super Bowl is in New York when it's actually in New Jersey.

  1. What a great selection of palettes! One of my favourites is Too Faced Glamour to Go Spun Sugar. I love the sparkles...this is my go to palette for a night out as I can create different variations of the smokey eye with it.

  2. These are all great palettes Andrea!! I love them all! You have quite a selection! The one palette that I have the same as you is the UD box shadow one. It's so pretty but I haven't played around much with colors because I'm such a neutral-obsessed. I'm slowly trying to break out of my shell and explore more with colors. Thanks so much for sharing! xo

    1. Thanks Liz! I think the UD Shadow box is more for the spring time. I used to be all about browns all the time but slowing got into color. Just have to find colors that work well with you!

  3. You have so many great palettes to work with! Those BH palettes are insane! Holy eyeshadows! I get overwhelmed with too many eyeshadows in a palette. I also have the Natural at Night palette by Too Faced. I am working on my review for that now. If you like peaches you may like the Natural Eye Palette by Too Faced. Its browns and peach shadows. That MAC palette looks pretty. How is the pigmentation in the Nyx Natural Palette? Thanks for sharing hun!

    1. Thanks for reading Tanya! Yea, I get stuck on what colors to use in my BH pallets because I just to use all of them. But you can create so many looks! I really haven't tried too many peaches shades but I'll check that pallet out! The pigmentation is pretty good on the NYX Natural pallet.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

Taking a break.......

On Tuesday I did mention that I had some exciting news to share. I have been working part time for a while and searching like crazy for full time work. I was starting to get a little frustrated but never gave up. Well a full time opportunity came up at my current job and I am now full time status!!! I was just so overjoyed and thankful. I will have a more stable income, I can go back to school and start to make some moves. Then I started to get a little overwhelmed. How was I going to juggle being a full-time working mom, grad student, blogger and balance everything else. It has been a while since I had a full time schedule and based my blogging schedule around my days off during the week. I start my full time hours next week and just need to take a small break away from Naturalle Drea. I really didn't want to because I love this so much but I need to see how to handle everything. I will most likely change my blogging schedule around. Thank you to those who have been encouraging to...
