The Complexion Perfection Sampler Review

Happy Thursday!! This weather has been really crazy lately. I wish it would just make up its mind on which season it is lol! Today I'm bringing you a review on Birchbox Complexion Perfection Sampler box. This was one of their limited edition boxes that I couldn't pass up on. Let's get into the review. Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Primer This is hands down one of the best facial primers I have ever tried. I love how it hides my large pores and I don't get as oily. I have so many samples of this primer but you can never have enough! Beauty Blender This is the main reason I purchased this box. It was 20 dollars and the beauty blender alone is that price so I felt it was worth purchasing. I love the beauty blender, it was one of the first makeup sponges I tried. I love how flawless my foundation looks and how well it blends everything. This is something everyone should have in their makeup collection. Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow I was reall...

Thursday Reviews: Birchbloggers Book Club

Happy Thursday! Can you believe July is here already? Summer is going by a little too fast. This post is going to be on two books I received through the Birchbloggers Book Club. I was a little behind on my reading and getting these reviews up but better late than never. Let's get into each book! The great thing about taking the bus back and forth to work is that I have time to read. I got through both of these book in no time. Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin I was so excited to get into this book. Just from the title, I knew it was going to be a very interesting read. The author got the inspiration for this book after a conversation with a friend. She wanted to get in depth about habits and understanding how we are with them. She also wanted to get in depth about how we are able to change our habits and stick to it. People are categorized under The Four Tendencies for how they respond to expectations of our habits. The Four Tendencies you can fall under are ...

Homemade Decadence Review

I know I'm not the only one who is so over Winter. I hope this storm is the last one!!! Happy Thursday!! This post is going to be on the December Book choice from the Birchblogger Book Club. I was so excited to get a cookbook this time. I love cooking and this book was right up my alley. Let's get into  Homemade Decadence by Joy Wilson. I was literally drooling while flipping through the pages of this book. There are so many recipes for breakfast foods, drinks, cakes, pies and even ice cream!! I got so excited as I was deciding what to make. This is Joy Wilson's second cookbook and I just love it so much!! She is a self taught baker who became a professional and later on a photographer and author. I love the mix of sweet, salty and savory recipes. Some of the items are very interesting like Black Sesame Seed Shortbread and Dirty Chai Tea Lattes. There is something in here for everyone! So far, I have only made two things but I plan on baking a whole lot more! Here are ...

My Beauty Bash Party

Happy Friday again!! If most of you follow me on social media or read about it in previous posts, I recently hosted my Beauty Bash party!! Thanks to Birchbox and Benefit Cosmetics for teaming up and doing this awesome thing!! Birchbox sent out this email and promoted this giveaway to win a box full of beauty products from Benefit Cosmetics to host a Beauty Bash for you and five of your friends. Of course I entered and was so surprised when I got the email that I will be receiving one of those boxes! I immediately contacted five of my best friends to join in on the fun! It was a great way to have a girls night because some of us are moms, have crazy work schedules and its hard trying to get everyone together. I was just super excited! So you had to pick a date during the weekend of September 26-28 which was National Wing Women weekend and that Friday was the best time to host. I was so happy when my package arrived with all my goodies for me and my girls!! I couldn't belie...

Book Review: Is Everyone Hanging Out With Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling

Happy Friday!! It still feeling like Summer around here but I'm looking forward to Fall soon. This post is going to be a review on the book by Mindy Kaling Is Everyone Hanging Out With me? (And Other Concerns) that was sent to me by Birchbox and Birchbloggers Book Club which I am loving now! They have gotten me back into reading and it has been very relaxing. (I am forever taking pictures in my car lol #LunchBreakSelfie)     I know who Mindy Kaling is but never watched her show, The Mindy Kaling Project (I know, so sad lol). I'll be honest, I didn't think she was too funny when I saw the previews for the show. This book gave me a better perspective of who she really is and how she broke into the entertainment industry. This book was very funny and such a fun read. I had no clue that she was a writer on The Office or appeared in episodes (that's another show I never watched lol).   I loved how she told the stories about her childhood, her experienc...

Review on The Bridesmaids

Hey guys. I am back with another book review! I'm really loving this book club that Bichbox and Birchbloggers started, I haven't read a book in a good while. This review is going to be on The Bridesmaids True Tales of Love, Envy, Loyalty...And Terrible Dresses by Eimear Lynch. When I first received this book I thought it was going to be a fiction novel from the view points of the bridesmaids in a wedding. This book is true stories and the author's own personal story of being a bridesmaid in a wedding. She intreviewed different women and men to get their stories and experiences with being in a wedding. I absoultely loved reading this book. I laughed, cried, gasped and all other emotions while reading this book. I would recommend this for anyone that is about to walk down the aisle or about to be in wedding party. My favorites stories from the book were from the men. It was very interesting to hear how a few men were "Bridesmen" and really took part in the ...

Review on Smashbox Full Exposure Palette and Try It Kit

Hey guys!! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I'm going to be reviewing a few Smashbox products in this post. I have purchased these products on my own or won them and this review is based on my opinion from using these beauty products. This post is very picture heavy, so let's get into the reviews!! Full Exposure Palette I won this pallet through Birchbox and Birchbloggers. They teamed up with Smashbox and had a Twitter chat on Shape Matters. It was discussing different eye shapes and how you would maximize your look and how to apply shadow. I was so happy to be one the lucky winner of this pallet because I have been eyeing it for a while. This retails for $49 and is so worth it. It comes with 7 shimmer shadows and 7 matte shadows which makes creating different looks endless. It also came with a double sided brush that I haven't used yet and a sample of the Full Exposure mascara that I will talk about later. These shadows are so pigmented and so pretty!! I u...
