Year 3 Reflection

Can't believe my blog is three years old now!! It seems like this time went by so fast!! I was just trying to figure out the direction of this, what I hoped to gain from it and just how to truly express myself through my words. It has been a challenge I will say and not an easy job. I recently took on really trying to make better quality videos and growing my YouTube channel. I can't believe I have 51 subscribers now!! I stopped being so scared to do makeup and hair tutorials and they seems so easy to film but not so much fun to edit lol! I commend those that do this for a living. It is a lot with trying to get the lighting right, the correct camera angles, you looking presentable then mashing the footage together and making sure it flows right. I have been up in the wee hours of the morning doing voiceovers a couple times, waiting for the video to upload and so on. It was hard but if you want that success, you have to put in the work. I also did my first vlog and it was so muc

Shopping My Beauty Samples

It has been a while since I've done a post in this series. I have so many samples that I need to use up and get through. I forgot sometimes to use them lol. I have used some that I am going to share today.Grab a snack because I am sharing a lot today!  Let's get into the reviews! RMS Beauty Makeup Remover Wipe Box It Came From: Ipsy Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size Price Point: 1.00 for one, 16.00 for 20 pack Review: I am always up for trying out new makeup remover wipes. This one was really different from others that I've tried. This was coconut oil based and I thought when I first opened it that it was dried out lol.I used to use coconut oil to remove my makeup and cleanse my skin at night. It really got all the makeup off and was pretty gentle on my skin, I think I would repurchase this. Mally Beauty Eyeshadow Stick in Copper Rose Box It Came From: Essence Beauty Box Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size Price Point: 25.00 Review: I have tried

Today I am sharing my haul from the Living No Lye Tour NYC I went to back in June. CLICK HERE TO WATCH MY VIDEO! So that is it for my haul. Have you tried any of these products? Which ones are you interested in? Comment below and let me know! See you guys Friday! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY PREVIOUS POST ON A REVIEW OF  FRANCK OLIVER FRAGRANCE?

Bamboo by Franck Oliver Review*

I have only been into perfumes for the past couple of years because I was a big Bath and Works person. I love when I get samples of perfumes because I get to try before committing to a expense bottle of perfume that I would end up  hating. Today I am bringing you another review powered by BrandBacker on a perfume that I've been trying for the past couple of weeks. *This product was sent for review and this is my opinion after using. Let's jump into the review! I received this fragrance through Fragrance Outlet. They have so many luxury brands such as Gucci, Armani and Calvin Kline for a fraction of the price. They can be found online and they are also expanding with brick and mortar stores. I thought I was going to be able to choose my fragrance but I was sent a code for this one by Franck Oliver. I am unfamiliar with this brand but I was interested in trying a fragrance blindly. I was kind of skeptical because of the name and the brand but I was very open to it. Dire

Wash N Go Series Part 4

Yes this is finally up, yay! Lol! Here is part 4 to my Wash N Go series and I will be using a styler by Deva Curl. I have never used a gel as my styler before so I was kinda anxious to see how my hair would react. CLICK HERE TO WATCH MY VIDEO!! Now I'm going to do an overview of all 4 weeks of this series. Part 1- Miss Jessie's I think this was one of my favorites out of all of them. My curls were pretty tight and defined. It was super humid that week so my hair expanded a lot and had so much volume! My hair stayed for most of the week and was well hydrated. Part 2- Shea Moisture I really liked the results I got with this one too. My hair tends to have a mind of its own lol! I started out with a side part and it just didn't stay around! My hair stayed soft the whole week and  curls stayed for most of the week. Part 3- Hello Curlies My curls were a bit more stretched with these products but still tightly curled. I wish I had more of the leave in condit

On a personal note....

It seems like so much has been going on lately, the presidential race, Olympics, summer going by way too fast, Football season is almost back (I had to throw that in there lol). Along with that, I'm still holding down a lot but it has gotten so much easier with having a set schedule for everything. I don't feel like a chicken with its head cut off lol. I'm not doing so much last minute anymore but still procrastinate a bit (can't help it lol). It just feels like I am a lot more focused on what needs to be done, what is a priority and so on. It just hit me that I'm an adult (like after how many years) and I'm about to be a wife next year. Where did my young adulthood go? It just seems like I was fresh out of college with my degree, still going out and partying and just getting into real adult responsibilities. Now I'm a mommy, about to get married, looking for a house, back in school and really trying to find my niche in the career world. I am still amazed ev

July Goal Results and August Goals

I still can't get over my son turning 5 next week and going to kindergarten. It seems like I just brought him home and just staring at him wondering what to do next. He has just grown so much and looking forward to watching him grow more. Today I am updating you on my July Goals and the ones I have set for August. You can see the previous post  HERE!! Get through a book Well if you count my textbook, then no I have not lol! I really thought I could get through this one but it couldn't fit in my schedule. I have started reading this daily devotional book that one of friends wrote last week. So far I am doing well with that. I really miss reading, hopefully I can fit in in my crazy schedule lol!! Stick to schedule for schoolwork and blogging I am so happy that I made this schedule because it has been super helpful. I feel so much more organized and in charge of my time management. I don't feel so overwhelmed and crazy now lol! I just love that I did this and have bee

Happily Ever Johnson: Dresses, Website and Engagement Pics

I'm just so excited on how things are coming along. I went to look at dresses again and now its between two dresses. I really love them both so much and it is kinda hard to pick one. Funny thing is, it is not the original style and fit that I thought I wanted. I envisioned myself in a mermaid or trumpet style dress. I even loved a sort of ballgown style. I was very open on trying different styles of dresses. I just need to figure out what I will do with my hair and stuff based on the dress.  I just need to decide on one of them soon lol! This is hard man lol!! I also looked at bridesmaid dresses with my maid of honor and we found a dress for the bridesmaids. I guess I'll go into that more into that with another post. Our wedding website is now up and you can visit us  RIGHT HERE!!  We took our engagement pics and love how they turned out. I'll give a sneak peek later in the post. I really wanted formal and sort of casual outfits for the shoot. I didn't want too many war
