I can't believe my son will be going to 2nd grade soon! He is growing so fast!
I can't wait to see The Incredibles 2, I think my son is more excited than I am lol.

Black Owned Business Feature: True Products

I am so excited to talk about this next company and product. When I discovered that there was a Black Owned laundry detergent, I had to support and try it. I have not used another detergent since trying this one by True Products.

True Products was started in 2012 as a manufacturing and distribution company that specializes in household cleaning supplies. This company is based in Atlanta, Georgia and is veteran owned.
I love that you only need one capful for a load of laundry. Directly from the site, True Detergent is 4x concentrated and allows consumers to use less soap. It is void of any caustic ingredients and animal essences thus making it a truly safe detergent for all types of machines and fabrics and also safe for the whole family. Powerful and economical, its concentrated nature allows users to use less soap for more cleaning power leading to tremendous savings and results. One of the things that you will notice about True Detergent is the fact that it has low suds. Despite ske…

Quick Fix Daytime Makeup

As a Mom and someone who is always running late or in a rush, I don't have a lot of time to beat this face or look presentable. Sometimes I only have like 5 extra minutes to spare and came up with this makeup routine. I have tried out so many products to get this one that you will see. I wanted to gear this towards other moms and other women who don't have a lot of time in the morning for a full face but want to still look effortless walking into the office. Make sure you watch the video all the way until the end.

So that is it for my makeup tutorial. What are some of your quick makeup tips? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday!!

Well, seems like the Cavs may get swept by the Warriors, we will see in Game 4.

I am loving World of Dance so far this season and can't wait for Shades of Blue to come back. I'm kinda sad it is the final season cause it is such a good show.

Hair Demo Featuring Fro Butter and Miss Jessie's

Since I put myself on a makeup no buy (which I had to start over again because of Fenty Beauty lol), I have been into new hair products. I decided to do a demo on a couple new products that I picked up from Fro Butter and Miss Jessie's.

So that is it for my hair demo/tutorial on some new products. Have you tried these before? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. See you guys Friday!

My husband and I just celebrated the first year of marriage. We are excited to celebrate many more anniversaries together!
What Summer shows are you watching? I'm looking for some new ones to get into to.

May Current Obsessions

I can't believe Summer is right around the corner. I am excited because we planned out Summer ahead of time this year lol. We are going to try to do something every weekend that I am not working, even if it is the beach for the day, a museum, just something so we are not sitting around doing nothing.
Today I am back with my current obsessions for May. If you missed the video in March, I am changing up my favorites and you will get a video like this every other month. I almost forgot about this and thought it was for June lol.

So that is it for my current obsessions. Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you Tuesday!

I can't believe it is the Warriors and Cavs again in the NBA finals! I was rooting for the other teams but we'll see who wins this year lol.

What I Learned During The First Year of Marriage

Next Monday marks the first year of marriage. I can't believe it went by so fast, seems like I was still planning my wedding and driving myself crazy. I just can't believe it has almost been a whole year as husband and wife.

I had my own ideas of what marriage would be like and was excited to step into this new journey. I have heard from others that the first year is not so easy and marriage is a lot of work.
I do have to agree that marriage is work and I feel that it is not as hard as people say. I knew my husband for years and we started off as friends first. I felt it made things easier since we already knew each other so well. I did have to get adjusted to sharing space with someone and having to make room. I have a lot of stuff as you can imagine lol. It was hard having to move stuff around but we made it work.
I feel like the first year of marriage is truly getting to know someone and setting up your game plan of how you are going to grow together and life goals as a …

Mental Health Awareness Month: My Story

I think this is really the first time I'm writing about this. A lot of people don't know this about me but I am hoping this helps someone that may be going through the same thing and just afraid to open up or talk to someone about it.
Most people that know me would say that I am the life of the party, funny, outgoing and just always in a good mood. There are times I am not feeling that way and times where I am putting on a front like I'm happy when inside, I'm really not. I am kind of used to putting on a facade like everything is fine. I'm not feeling it and just don't want to be around others. There are times I just want to be to myself and not want to do anything. It took a while for me to be 100% happy with myself and my life.
It started for me in elementary school. I was in this "la-la land" like everyone was nice and got along. I never understood why I was picked on and people didn't like me. It was a concept that I was never able to grasp…

First Impressions Tutorial

The weekend is almost here! It has been a week so far! I'm just ready to relax and hopefully catch up on some sleep lol! Today I am trying out some products that have been sitting around and I could not wait to try! You may want to grab a snack to watch this one(seriously, you'll need a snack, maybe a few lol) but enjoy!

So that is it for my first impression on a few makeup products. Have you tried any of these products before? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday!
~** Drea Notes**~
I can't believe June is around the corner and I'll be celebrating my 1 year wedding anniversary!
Summer will also be here soon, I'm starting to plan early so we have an exciting Summer and lots of things to do.
I wonder if my Summer shows are coming back this season, you how they always get cancelled lol!

Ivy Tea Co. Trap Tea Subscription Review

I am loving this Spring weather and glad it is finally here to stay! I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Today on the blog, I will be reviewing everything that was in my most recent Ivy Tea Co Box. You can find that unboxing RIGHT HERE! Let's jump into the reviews!

Red Bone
Hibiscus, Cranberries, Lemon Peel, Chilli Peppers and Citric Acid

I have to say that this was my favorite tea in the box. It is such a different flavor that took me by surprise when I first tried it. It has just a kick of spice and it is not too much. I just love this tea! This tea helps to improve your mood and the spiciness of the chilli peppers helps to warm you up. I have to say that I noticed that I had a better mood at work after drinking this in the morning lol.
Lala Salama
Chamomile and Lemongrass

I always love a tea that has chamomile  in it. It helps to ease your stress and relax your nerves. I would recommend drinking this tea at night after a long day. I love how relaxed and calm I felt after d…

What I learned from becoming a Mom

I am loving the Spring weather, I hope it stays lol. As you may know, Mother's Day is coming up and I just wanted to share what I have learned since I've become a mom.
I just love this pic when he was a baby
When I found out I was carrying my son, so many emotions and thoughts were running through my mind. Was I ready to be a Mom? Will I be a good Mom? How do I raise a child? I guess I wasn't able to answer those questions until my son was born. It was love at first sight and I guess the instinct would just kick in. I survived the sleepless nights(still don't know how I still functioned without sleep lol), diaper explosions, spitting up before trying to leave the house and all the fun stuff lol.
I also loved watching him discover his hands and feet, the cute laughs and giggles, when he started moving around and watching him take his first steps. I was just amazed during the first year and was looking forward to continue watching him grow and develop.

As he started t…

Mental Health Awareness Month

I love allergy season, says no one ever lol! I had planned on having a video up today but you guys don't want to hear me sneezing, sniffling and blowing my nose during the entire video lol! I guess with the warm weather comes the pollen and allergies lol.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and to be honest, for years I was not aware of this myself. It is important to bring awareness to mental health because you never know who may be going through it or having a tough time dealing with their health. Mental health is something that should not be taken lightly at all. If someone confides in you, please take them seriously and just be there.
I learned so much from my blogger friend Ashley who runs Don't Die Afraid. She was not afraid to share her story and journey with everyone and it was pretty inspiring. Ashley is a big advocate for mental health and it is just amazing to see the work she is doing to bring awareness. It made me more aware of it and to open up about my bout w…

Black Owned Business Feature: Isabis LLC

I wanted to start a new series on here and really thought about it. I kept going back and forth about a lot and thought about starting to highlight Black Owned Businesses every month.

The beginning of the month, I will post about a Black Owned Business that I have come across and products I've tried. This month's feature is Isabis LLC.

I discovered this candle company on Instagram and loved every candle that I have purchased. I love that you can customize every candle to have a positive message or saying on it and they just smell so good. Also I love the clean, sleek look of the candles so they will fit well with any decor in your home.

I have purchased the Vanilla and Lavender, Coco Mango and Egyptian Amber candles and have not been disappointed. They work well in small to medium rooms and I use two in my larger rooms. All the candles are 100% hand poured natural soy with essential oils and fragrances.
I know there are other Black Owned candle companies out there that I wo…

IMATS Haul 2018

I would suggest grabbing a snack before watching this haul lol! Here is the last post from IMATS. I had such a great weekend, anytime in NY is a great time. Hope you guys enjoy!

So that is it for my IMATS haul. I think I am done for a while and need to go on a makeup no buy lol!  Have you tried anything that I mentioned today? Comment below and let me know. Hope you have a great weekend and see you Tuesday!!

Sephora VIB Haul 2018

It is that time of year for the Sephora VIB sale. Funny thing is, I'm VIB Rogue and the sale started for me the same weekend I went to IMATS lol! Did I need to but there were some things I was out of and needed. Let's see what I picked up this year!

So that is it for my Sephora VIB haul. What dd you pick up during the sale? Have you tried anything mentioned in my haul? Comment below and let me know! See you guys tomorrow with my IMATS haul!!
~**Drea Notes**~
I am really getting the hang of my MacBook Pro. This is a totally new system to me but I like it. Now to figure out Final Cut Pro lol!
My son is doing really well in baseball this year.

On A Personal Note...

I am so glad that the Spring weather is finally here, this extended Winter wore out their welcome lol. I can't believe that I have been married for almost a year! It seems like this time last year I was wedding planning and driving myself crazy! I will be doing a post on that later but I am looking forward to many, many more years with the husband!
It seems like a lot of lightbulbs have been going off and things are starting to click now. I feel like so many things are starting to make sense and I am starting to realize some things. I have been feeling all over the place and so lost lately and it just feels good to be finding my way. I have started to see the importance in some things and realizing what steps I need to take to make some things happen. I just had to be patient and know that I would be shown the way. It is like I am still growing and learning about life.
I am just excited about everything that will be coming up and direction that I am going in. I have been stayin…

The weekend is almost here! I know that at some point, I need to take a nap during the weekend and relax lol! What are you guys doing this weekend?
Today is part 2 of my IMATS post and today is the vlog. I used iMovies to edit this, I could not figure out Final Cut Pro for the life of me lol! Do any of you know how to use it?

So that is my vlog from IMATS, look out for the haul next week. I hope you guys enjoy the weekend and see you Tuesday!
~**Drea Notes**~
My son started baseball this year, he is doing pretty well so far.
I need to go on another makeup no buy, especially after IMATS and Sephora lol.

I'm pretty sure that Winter didn't get the memo that it is Spring and the weather is supposed to be warm lol. Hopefully this weather will get it together soon.
This is going to be a three part post, the vlog will be up Thursday and the haul will be up sometime next week. I haven't been to IMATS in the past couple of years but was super excited to go this year. If you don't know about IMATS, it is a huge makeup show where you can buy products from some of your favorite companies like Morphe and Kat Von D, you can catch a class and see live makeup demos. It is the perfect place if you are a makeup lover like myself.
I was too busy vlogging and shopping that I didn't get too many pictures inside the venue but you will see it on the vlog. I initially did not have a list ( and I should of made one lol) but I would suggest if you do go to make a list. The companies are listed on the IMATS website so you can figure out which companies you want to visit.
I knew what com…

Blogger Chat

When something tugs and pulls at you, you have to just go in that direction. I had intentions on posting a makeup tutorial today but my heart decided I should post this. I was inspired by something I saw online and I just had to speak about it. Hopefully you guys take something away from this and it inspires you as well. Hey, this may turn into a series.

Hope you guys have a great weekend and see you Tuesday!!

March Current Obsessions

I am so looking forward to this weekend. I am going to IMATS but there will actually be some Spring weather lol! I'm excited! I am trying something different. Instead of the usual Monthly Favorites, it will be Current Obsessions and these videos will come out every other month.
I had a lot of products that I've been obsessed with over the past couple of months. Let's jump into them!

So those were the beauty products that I have been obsessed with. What have you been loving this month? Comment below and let me know. See you guys Friday!!
~**Drea Notes**~
I'm excited about having some new editing software but need to figure out how to use it lol. I can't wait to learn and put out some great content soon.

Makeup Wish List

This past weekend was such a busy and fun one. I had to work, spent time with family and we went to a baseball game (it was pretty cold that day lol)! What did you guys do this past weekend?
Today I'm sharing some makeup items that I wish I had in my stash and have been eyeing for some time.

Pat McGrath Makeup - Umm can we say legend? I am in awe every time I see something new drop and I so want to get my hands on like everything lol. Everything is so pigmented, bright and just something I know I would love.
Beauty Bakerie Makeup - I love the concept of this brand and it is also a Black owned business. I have seen pretty good reviews on most of their products and they are going to launching foundations soon.
Lancome Teint Idole Foundation- I have heard nothing but amazing reviews about this foundation. I don't think I have ever tried a high end foundation before but would love to see the hype around this one.
Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette- I saw and swat…

On A Personal Note...

Okay, that was a funny April fool's joke when it snowed yesterday lol. Mother Nature needs to make up her mind, is Winter over yet or what?
I can't believe it is April already, Summer will be here before we know it and I'm not bathing suit ready yet lol. I have been proud of myself lately for sticking to these weekly goals I have been setting for myself. I started with drinking tea during the week and saving coffee for the weekend. I have been sticking to it but got coffee a couple times last week. I also made a schedule for myself for blogging, filming, editing and so on, I have just been so all over the place and unorganized, it was driving me crazy. I have been posting these weekly goals on my Insta Stories.
I am taking things one step at a time and slowing getting it together. I just overwhelmed myself and thought I could fix everything at once lol. Yea, what was I thinking? I had to remember to be patient and wait on things and take things one step and one day at a…

March Onyx Box and Cocotique

I am so glad the weekend is here! It has been such a busy week at work and I'm just ready to relax and hopefully sleep in lol. Today I will unboxing both of my March beauty boxes.
You won't see these unboxings for a little while and I explain in the video why. Let's see what I got this month.

So that is it for my March beauty boxes. What did you get this month? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday!

Ivy Tea Co Trap Tea Subscription Unboxing

It seems like the Spring weather will be here soon! I am so ready to put my Winter stuff away. Today on the blog I will be unboxing the most recent box from Ivy Tea Co.
This is a quarter subscription that you receive every three months. I guess I will call this the Spring quarter box.

So that is it for my Ivy Tea Co unboxing. Which tea or honey would you try? Comment below and let me know. See you guys tomorrow.
~**Drea Notes**~
My son officially lost his two front teeth. He looks so cute and I can't take it that he is growing so fast!
I can't believe April will be here Sunday and that Easter is on April Fool's lol.

Spring 2018 Fashion Trends

I really want to have more fashion inspired post on here. I love looking at what is trendy each season and try to incorporate some of those trends. Today I'll be highlighting some of my favorite trends this Spring. I love these editorial images that I found!
White Boots

This is the trend I'm most excited to try! I have been seeing a lot of people rocking this trend and it looks so cute! I think it would go with just about everything I have in my closet. I have been trying to find a pair but I'm having trouble finding them in my size (big feet problems lol). I have an idea for a future post if I can get my hands on them lol.

It seems like this trend never goes away but always reinvents itself. The big thing I am seeing is the see through shoes and boots. I don't think I would dive into this one but I like how others are creating looks with it.

Dark Denim Sets

I really like this trend and would wear it. I don't think I've had a denim set in a long time …

Ivy Tea Co Trap Tea Subscription Review

Okay, I thought it was Spring? I hope this was the last snowstorm lol! I think this happened last year where we got snow on the first day of Spring. I just hope the warm weather comes soon.
Today on the blog, I will be reviewing the teas from my Ivy Tea Co #TrapTea subscription box. This is a quarterly subscription where you get a new box filled with a mix of teas, honey, mugs and other accessories every three months. This is also a Black Owned Business that is new favorite of mine. I did an unboxing HERE and said I would review all the teas later. I used all the honey that was in the box and forgot to get a picture of it lol but it was good. Let's jump into the reviews.

Rise & Grind

Ingredients: Black Tea, Coconut and Vanilla
I'm not a big coconut person and initially thought that I would not like this tea but wanted to try it anyway. I have to say, you really don't taste the coconut too much and I really like this tea. I taste more of the black tea and vanilla with a…

On A Personal Note..Where have I been?

I always dread Spring Forward lol. Of course the obvious reason is losing an hour of sleep but my son is always thrown off his schedule and it always a struggle for bedtime lol. Hopefully since he is older, it won't be as tough.
I did announce on my Instagram and Facebook that I was taking a break but not on here. It was something that really wasn't planned but the way life is set up, it just happened. Sometimes life throws you things that are really out of your control and it can be hard to adapt. You sometimes have to take a couple steps back and figure some things out. I am pretty good with adapting to change but this time it was something that really threw me off.
I will be back soon, I have so much content that I want to get out, products I want to review and so on. I just wanted to check in and say hi and that I'm still here lol. Hopefully you guys are having a great start to the new year and I'll see you soon.
By the way, can we talk about Black Panther really…

December/January Favorites

I can't believe it is February already! I just can't wait for the warmer weather to get here lol. Today I am sharing my December and January Favorites!

So that is it for my favorites. Have you tried any of these products? Comment below and let me know. Hope you have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday!
~**Drea Notes**~
I can't wait to go see Black Panther, I'm excited and so is my son!

Soft Valentine's Tutorial

I am so glad the weekend is almost here again lol! This week has been something else! Today I am sharing my Valentine's Tutorial! This will be one of two that I will be doing. This one is a soft and romantic look.
