New Beauty Products

I don't these count for makeup or beauty products that I'm not supposed to be buying this month lol. I saw these at Target and wanted to give them a try. I've always wanted really white teeth, I really don't know why. I've tried a lot of products but I never use them for the entire time that you're supposed to. I purchased Colgate Optic White toothpaste and mouthwash.  You should start to see results within a week and has a high impact whitening formula. They we're both 2.99 each which was really affordable. So I will check back in a week with results and again after using them completely. Can you believe December is tomorrow? I didn't even start Christmas shopping yet!! I have a great theme for next month so stayed tuned and my November beauty boxes will be up soon!!

Half Way Point Check In ~ Biotin Vitamins

As you all know, I started taking the Biotin vitamins at the beginning of the month. I just wanted to check in half way through taking them to let you all know any results so far. I have noticed a change in the way my skin looks and appears. It look so much clearer, refreshed, it has a nice glow to it and it's a big improvement from before. I also noticed my hair looks a lot fuller and believe it has gotten a little longer. I'm not sure if it is the vitamins or not but I like how my hair is looking now. As for my nails, I noticed that they look healthier than before but I've always had issues with trying to grow my nails and keeping them long. They always chip, break, or split for some reason. They have been growing but some do break and chip. Overall I do like these vitamins so far, they do produce results and I'm happy with them. I will check back in when I finish the bottle to give a full review and will have pictures next time!! Do any of you take Biotin Vitamins? L

DIY Facial Mask Review ~ Coffee

So yesterday concluded my DIY facial mask for November. Can you believe that Thanksgiving is this week and Christmas is a month away!! Well this time I tried a mask that had coffee in it. I didn't follow the exact recipe because I didn't need all that extra. I just eyeballed enough for just one time but here are the ingredients: 4 Tbsp Coffee Beans, grounded 4 Tbsp Cocoa Powder 8 Tbsp Dairy Product 2Tbsp of Honey Mix the first two, add the dairy and stir until it makes a paste and then stir in the honey. Apply to a clean face, let dry and use a wet washcloth to loosen and rinse. For the dairy product, I used yogurt and I used instant coffee that comes in a can. It was pretty easy to make but it took a little time stirring to make the paste. I believe it took about 10 minutes for it to harden on my face and boy did it get tight!! It did take a little to loosen but it left a really nice glow on,my face. I did break out just a tiny but but I liked the mask. The caffeine in

DIY Makeup Brush Holders

I have been keeping my brushes in my travel bag for a while and have been on the hunt for something,to keep them in. It came to me one day to create my own brush holder. It may not look perfect but it's artistic, creative and I love them. I went to JoAnn Fabrics and picked up two different shades of pink glitter paper (they happened to be on sale that day), rhinestones and decorative glass for the inside of the holder. I also used a hot glue gun to put it all together. Now it took me a couple tried because I wasn't measuring the paper around the cup properly but I eventually got it. Then I just decorated the outside with the rhinestones the way I wanted, filled the decorative glass inside and put my brushes in. This project only cost me about 10 bucks, compared to what I could of spent. Let me know what you think!!

Bath And Body Works Challenge

For these last two weeks of November, I will be reviewing and comparing the old and new Version of Bath and Body Works products. I used to work there part time and absolutely love that store from the candles to all the fragrances. They recently launched a new Shower Gel formula and changed all the bottles. I decided to try each version for a week and see if I notice a difference. The old version I will use this week is in the scent County Chic. The shower gel was reformatted to give more lather with less product. The main ingredients are Vitamin E and Slow Vera. You honestly only needed one or two quarter size amounts to lather your whole body. The Body Lotion was also reformatted to contain Shea Butter, Jojoba and Vitamin E to help soften skin and keep it moisturized. The body most was just repackaged in a fancier bottle. The new version I will be using is in the scent Twilight Woods, which is a new favorite of mine. The Shower Gel now contains Shea Butter to help soften your skin.

DIY Face Mask- Oatmeal

This is week 3 of trying out different DIY Facial Mask. Today I tried this oatmeal mask. Here is the recipe: 1 TBSP Oatmeal (Ground very fine) 1 TBSP Plain Yogurt A few drops of Honey Mix all together, leave on for 10 minutes then wash off with warm washcloth. Well I did not ground up the oatmeal, I left it whole which I think may of made a difference. It was very easy to make but it was a little messy when I was applying it to my face. The mask did harden during the 10 minutes it was on my face. It was very easy to wash away and my face was left feeling very smooth and soft. I did wash my face prior to applying and followed up with my eye cream and night moisturizer. The benefits of oatmeal on your skin is that it has 18 Amino Acids which helps heal your blemishes and repair your skin. It is also hypoallergenic for those who have sensitive skin. I found the oatmeal to be very gentle on my skin and did act as an exfoliant which is another benefit. Yogurt contains Lactic Acid

Half Way Point, Checking In

So at the beginning of the month, I challenged myself to not buy any beauty products for the entire month!! So far, so good. I have stayed out of those stores unless I really needed something for myself or my son. Today was a bit of a challenge. I actually walked up and down the aisles where all the make up and nail polish is in Target. I saw a lot of new things I wanted to try out but I controlled myself and purchased what I was supposed to be getting there. So I do have some self control and I'm proud of myself. I know I can make it until the end of the month, I would just be so proud of myself. And I just realized that I never reviewed the eyeshadow pallets I used last month, that will be up very soon. Also, I can't wait until I get my first Ipsy bag this month!! I'm super excited!! Once I receive that, I will post about my monthly subscriptions. Stay tuned for more......

DIY Face Mask Review~ Avocado and Honey

This is a bit late going up but this past Sunday I tried a Avocado and Honey Face Mask. I got the recipe online somewhere just browsing around. Here is the ingredients used: 1/2 Avocado 1/4 Cup of Honey Mash the avocado, then mix in the honey. Apply to face for 10 minutes then rinse with cool washcloth. This was really easy to make, but I don't think I mashed the avocado up enough. I also thought it was going to be really sticky on my face and hard to rinse off. It was not sticky at all and rinsed off easily with the washcloth. My skin felt really soft and smooth after using. It also had a really nice glow. The benefits of honey are in the previous posting, to help with acne prone skin. The benefits of avocado for your skin is to help remove the dead skin cells, moisture and help reduce wrinkles. I really recommend trying this one out. Let me know if you do and your results.

This is my hauls from Ulta, Sephora and MAC back in September. I'm going to be using this products and comparing them for posts later this month, so stayed tuned.

Lip Balm Challenge Results

Last week, I tried out 5 different lip balms to see which ones really work and which ones don't. It was a pretty interesting week but I actually did find a lip balm that worked for me and I'm suprised about the one I chose. First, let me review each lip balm before revealing which one I liked and rank them. I asked these questions with each lip balm I tried: Did my lips stay moisturized? How many times did I feel the need to reapply during the day? Did my lips feel dry at any point during the day? How did my lips feel at the end of the day? Before applying the lip balm, I did exfoliate my lips which helped a lot. 10/28- EOS in Sweet Mint~ I tried this lip balm before and really didn't like it so much. I decided to give it second try. I must say, I did like it better this time. I think exfoliating before helped a great deal. I didn't feel like I had to apply it that much during the day. My lips didn't feel dry at all and they felt pretty good at the end of t

DIY Face Mask Review ~ Pumpkin Face Mask

I wanted to try out different DIY Facial Mask every week this month and today I tried a Pumpkin Facial Mask. I got the recipe from Tia and Tamera Morwy's website www.tiaandtameraofficial.com . I really like their website and recommend you guys check it out. They have a lot of fashion and beauty tips, motherhood tips and advice, recipes and so much more. I would of never thought to use pumpkin in a facial mask, I usually see it in hair mask or in Pumpkin Pies, lol. Apparently, pumpkin is high in Vitamins A and C that help to heal you skin and help give it a nice glow. Also, the enzymes in pumpkin help to get rid of dry skin and help the vitamins to do their job. You always learn something new everyday!! Here is the recipe: 1 cup of Pumpkin (I used Canned Pumpkin) 3 tablespoons of Plain Yogurt 2 Tablespoons of Honey 2 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar And you can add an optional dash of Cinnamon You would mix all the ingredients together, apply to a clean face, leave on for 15 minut

No Purchasing Beauty Products Challenge

Ever since I started this blog, well no...... I admit to having a shopping problem. I just love to shop and try out new things. It has gotten a little out of hand since I started this blog. I'm always in the beauty section of Target or Walmart or in Sephora or Ulta looking for makeup or nails polish to try. Since the holiday season is close, I decided to not buy any beauty products for this entire month to try to save money and see if I actually have some kind of self control. This includes any and all makeup, nail polish, body and hair products. I know this is going to be hard especially if I see something new is out that I want to try and review. I know I can do this and prove to myself that I do have some kind of self control. Maybe it would help if I kept myself out of those stores for the month, lol. Hopefully I will not need anything important from Target or Walmart, I know I will be in trouble. Well, let's see how this goes, wish me luck cause I'm going to need it!!
