Happily Ever Johnson: Wedding Day Hair

We are really getting down to the wire here!! It is starting to get a little stressful with the little details and making sure we have everything. I just can't wait until the big day! Everyone has been asking me what I plan on doing with my hair for the wedding. I knew I was not going to straighten it and was going to base my hair style from what my dress looked like. I also plan on doing my hair myself! Yes I know I could go to a salon and have it done professionally but I do my own hair anyway and have been really excited to try different styles. I know that I wanted some kind of updo and something that will go with the veil I am wearing. I tried out 3 different styles over the past couple of weeks.  This post is picture heavy so you may want to grab a snack.  Hair Trial #1 For this style I was thinking on having big, curly hair in the front and the rest of my hair twisted. I had a time at first trying to figure out how to part my hair and how big to make the twis...

Fall Favorites 2014- Hair

Its double does Tuesday!! Lol!! This is the last post in my Fall Favorites series. So let's get into Fall Hair Care!! Moisturize from the Inside Out Not only do you have to take care of the outside of your body, you should also take care of what's inside. I did stress the importance of drinking plenty of water with the last post and it is still as important. This is my favorite cup that I take with me everyday to work and just drink water all day. I try to refill this about 4 times during the day. I've noticed a difference in my skin and hair since I've cut out the juice and soda consummation. Leave-In Conditioners When it starts to get colder outside, you want to protect your hair from the harsh winds and cold air. It helps to really keep your hair moisturized. I do switch up the products I use on my hair but using a leave-in doesn't change. It really helps with keeping my hair moisturized and retaining the moisture in my hair. I still love my Hello C...

Also trying to get clothes folded, put away and laundry done lol!! So this post is going to be a review on the new Kiss Insta Wave Automatic Curler. *This was provided for review by BrandBacker and my opinion is based on using this product. DIY Hair Mask Reviews

Hey guys!! I was waiting to try out a few hair mask to review them. I love making my own hair mask with the ingredients right in my kitchen. It saves on money and the natural ingredients really help with softening and nourishing your hair. I'm going to be talking about 3 different hair masks that I have use over the past couple of months. Mask #1 1 Cup of Coconut Milk 1 peeled and mashed Avocado 1 Tbsp Honey Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, apply and massage into hair and scalp. Leave in for 15-60 minutes. You can heat the treatment. Now I had the toughest time with the avocado, I must of gotten one that wasn't all the way ripe. I didn't do a good job of mashing it up so I was having fun shaking little chunks of it out of my hair. I did heat up the mask and I loved the results I got. My hair was so soft and was so easy to manage. I would use this one again but maybe put the avocado in the blender. Mask #2 I Avocado 2 Tbsp Honey 1 Tsp Avocado o...

Brown Box Hair Product Reviews

Hey guys! Happy Friday!! I'm back with another post in this series since I washed my hair on Tuesday. Luscious Locks Shea Butter Shampoo I previously tried the Deep Conditioner from this line and loved it!! I was expecting this shampoo to be creamy because it contains Shea butter but it was a liquid consistency. It kind of threw me off when I poured some into my hand but I continued on with washing my hair. It also didn't smell too much like Shea Butter like I thought it would but it was a pleasant scent. You didn't need a lot to wash with and it really left my hair feeling very soft. I enjoyed using it and may repurchase sometime in the future. This is the full size bottle and its runs 10.00. It can be found on Luscious Locks website. UR Curly Quinoa Conditioner I found this to be very interesting because it contains quinoa protein. I used this as my conditioner and deep conditioner after shampooing my hair. I loved the silky, thick texture of this and it...
