Fall Favorites 2014- Hair

Its double does Tuesday!! Lol!! This is the last post in my Fall Favorites series. So let's get into Fall Hair Care!!

Moisturize from the Inside Out

Not only do you have to take care of the outside of your body, you should also take care of what's inside. I did stress the importance of drinking plenty of water with the last post and it is still as important. This is my favorite cup that I take with me everyday to work and just drink water all day. I try to refill this about 4 times during the day. I've noticed a difference in my skin and hair since I've cut out the juice and soda consummation.

Leave-In Conditioners

When it starts to get colder outside, you want to protect your hair from the harsh winds and cold air. It helps to really keep your hair moisturized. I do switch up the products I use on my hair but using a leave-in doesn't change. It really helps with keeping my hair moisturized and retaining the moisture in my hair. I still love my Hello Curlies Leave in and started using the Garnier Fructis Leave in when I straighten my hair. There will be a review on this soon.

Retaining The Moisture

I tend to reach for heavier hair creams and oils during the colder weather. I'm searching for a Shea Butter based hair cream to try out but I have been using this sample of Bee Mine Cream Moisturizer and have been loving it. A more detailed review will be coming with my Brown Box Hair Product Review series. Another moisturizer I still love is my Hello Curlies Buttermilk Moisturizer. Its one of the best ones I've used on my hair. I still use my staple Coconut Oil which works so well with my hair. Also using water before applying any product helps with retaining moisture.

Deep Conditioning

It doesn't matter if you wear your hair straight, wavy or curly, deep conditioning your hair is so important. Your hair needs that extra conditioning if you use a lot of heat or have your ends exposed. Every time I wash my hair, I always deep condition it. It helps so much with giving some life back to your hair and preventing damage. These are a few of my favorites that I use very often. When I don't have time to sit for a while, I'll reach for Aussie 3 Minute Miracle which is amazing!! The times I do have some time to really deep condition, I'll use my Shea Moisture or Curl Max.

Heat Protectants

I decided to give straightening my own hair a try. I don't think I'll be doing it for long, I have so much hair and it hurts my hands lol. I did so much research on products to use to protect my hair. It became overwhelming because there are so many products out there. I decided to give Garnier Fruticis Blow Dry Cream and TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Spray a try. So far, they have been working well for me. I haven't noticed any heat damage and my hair hasn't been dry at all. I'm working on reviews for these products and my routine for straightening my hair. It's so important to protect your hair from heat and try not to use high amounts of it.

So that is it for my Fall Favorites for 2014. What are some of your favorite hair products? Have you tried any of the ones mentioned? Comment below and let me know. Stay warm and see you guys Friday!!

  2. Great favorites! I haven't tried any of these. I don't use a lot of "hair products" in general. Just hair spray, shampoo, conditioner, and hair masks.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

Taking a break.......

On Tuesday I did mention that I had some exciting news to share. I have been working part time for a while and searching like crazy for full time work. I was starting to get a little frustrated but never gave up. Well a full time opportunity came up at my current job and I am now full time status!!! I was just so overjoyed and thankful. I will have a more stable income, I can go back to school and start to make some moves. Then I started to get a little overwhelmed. How was I going to juggle being a full-time working mom, grad student, blogger and balance everything else. It has been a while since I had a full time schedule and based my blogging schedule around my days off during the week. I start my full time hours next week and just need to take a small break away from Naturalle Drea. I really didn't want to because I love this so much but I need to see how to handle everything. I will most likely change my blogging schedule around. Thank you to those who have been encouraging to...
