Friday Favorites: On A Personal Note....

Happy Friday! I'm so glad the weekend is finally here!! I haven't done a post in this series in a while and I see that I'm starting to get away from that. Yes this blog is all about the things that I love and obsessed about but I need to be in the mix too. I remember my cousin telling me that he felt I was hiding behind my post. I didn't understand what he was talking about for a while until I read through here one day. It was all reviews and favorites but nothing about me. You all have been so open and accepting of my personal side and it means a lot to me! I can't believe this blog is coming up on two years already. I think I have been making the progress that I wanted and looking forward to what next year holds. Life for me has been so hectic lately. I almost drove myself a little crazy trying to figure out how other people juggle everything. I am really loving my new location and it keeps me very busy everyday. After work, it is the demands of motherhood and a

Thursday Reviews: Shopping My Beauty Samples

Happy late Thursday! Man things have been a little crazy this week but things are going well. I haven't done a post in this series in such a long time. I have so many samples waiting to be reviewed. So let's get right into the reviews!! Nourish Organic Renewing Eye Cream Box It Came From: Ipsy Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size Price Point: 19.99 Review: I really enjoyed using this eye cream. The under eye area stayed moisturized and felt smooth. I loved the consistency of this, it wasn't too thick and blended in very well. Mostly likely, I would repurchase this. Dove Pure Dry Oil Box It Came From: Ipsy and Walmart Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size Price Point: 9.00 Review: Funny thing is that I received two samples of this products in different boxes. I really love the scent of this oil! It has a rich, thick texture but it not too heavy. It doesn't feel greasy at all and works so well with my hair. I would most definitely repurc

Thursday Reviews: Liquid Lipstick Battle

Happy Thursday!! I'm so happy that the weekend is almost here! If you haven't heard about the craze about liquid lipsticks, you must be living under a rock. It seems like every makeup company has their own version of this very popular product. It is so hard not wanting to pick up every single one! I have a few that I have been trying out and reviewing. I couldn't find most of pictures of me wearing some of them but have a few. Let's get into the reviews! Lime Crime Velvetine in Wicked I know there is a lot of controversy with this company but I still wanted to review this product. I picked this up last year at IMATS and boy was that line ridiculous!! My friends actually stood in line and we just gave them money while we walked around and got stuff for them. I heard so many good things about this liquid lipstick and just had to try it. I fell in love the first time I wore this. These velvetines are so pigmented and not drying at all. I didn't have to tou

You can check me out here on  Pinterest!  Here is the look I will recreating this month. I always wanted a nude outfit and I really love this one. Of course I won't be purchasing the Chanel or Christian Louboutin accessories (But I would love a pair sometime in my life) but my recreation will look just as good. I will be posting the results at the end of the month. This should be really fun to find! So that is it for Sunday Fashions. Do you own a nude

Miss Jessie's Baby Buttermilk If you watched my latest favorites video, you heard me raving about this moisturizer. This has become my new holy grail hair product. When I hear and see a lot of people raving about a hair product, I get curious and have to try it out. I already love Miss Jessie's hair products and this was worth every penny. This moisturizer is a great daily moisturizer that helps keep your hair hydrated and soft. This really keeps my hair super moisturized all week when I do my twistouts and also great touch up my hair during the

Thursday Reviews: Birchbloggers Book Club

Happy Thursday! Can you believe July is here already? Summer is going by a little too fast. This post is going to be on two books I received through the Birchbloggers Book Club. I was a little behind on my reading and getting these reviews up but better late than never. Let's get into each book! The great thing about taking the bus back and forth to work is that I have time to read. I got through both of these book in no time. Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin I was so excited to get into this book. Just from the title, I knew it was going to be a very interesting read. The author got the inspiration for this book after a conversation with a friend. She wanted to get in depth about habits and understanding how we are with them. She also wanted to get in depth about how we are able to change our habits and stick to it. People are categorized under The Four Tendencies for how they respond to expectations of our habits. The Four Tendencies you can fall under are
