Week 3 Results

Well week 3 is finished and it was a bit crazy. Of course I only exfoliated once this week and I tried so hard to do it more than that! Hopefully I can get it together for week 4. I wasn't too crazy about the new moisturizer I decided to try this week. I purchased Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel and it was like a gel consistency and was supposed to help with containing the moisture but really didn't for me. I tried to use it for as long as I could but mid-week I had to switch back. My face just felt dry and noticed a couple dry patches on my face. It may be a better moisturizer for the Spring or Summer time but it didn't help much for me :(  My face did also break out mid-week and I wasn't too happy about it. I didn't like the way my complexion felt or looked. I did use the Juice Beauty mask again which I love! When I did exfoliate that one day (shame on me,lol) I followed up with Origins A Perfect World Age Defense Treatment Lotion with White Tea. It's a

New Makeup Products

I'm so surprised I got my hands on these, thought they would of been sold out!! I love MAC so much and was pretty excited when Rihanna announced she was collaborating with them for a makeup collection. I missed all the lipsticks before but happy I was able to get something. There was so much to choose from so I got one of the eyeshadow pallets and a blush duo. The eyeshadow pallet I got is called Her Cocoa and has four neutral colors. The other pallet had darker colors. I wish I knew the name of each color. The blush duo is called Hibiscus Kiss and has a really pink color and cocoa color. I can't wait to try these out soon and come back and review them for you guys!

Week 3~ Finding a Facial Regimen

I am on to week 3 of my skincare journey. I did change cleansers and the moisturizer again and my nighttime routine. Here are the products I will be using this week: Daytime: Cleanser- Neutrogena Facial Bar Toner- Witch Hazel SPF- L'oreal Eye Cream- Racinne Moisturizer- Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream Nighttime: First I will put Coconut Oil on my face then wash with the Neutrogena Facial Bar, follow up with Sephora Cleansing Water, Yes To Cucumbers Eye Gel and a little Coconut Oil to moisturize. Hopefully my skin stays moisturized during the day and I can get my face really clean this week and also exfoliate more than once. Stayed turned for my upcoming vlogs and so much more......

Week 2 Results

So week 2 is finished and I must say that I'm happy with how my complexion is now. It looks so much clearer, my skin is soft and it has a glow to it. But since Fall is here, my skin did get a little dry towards the end of the week. On Tues 9/17, I did exfoliate with Origins Modern Friction. First I put coconut oil on my face then used the Origins and loved how it made my face feel afterwards. I only did that once this week, I need to try for twice next week. On Wed. 9/18, I used Juice Beauty Mask from my Birchbox. I liked the way it felt, didn't get so tight on my skin and easy to wash off. I did notice a couple nights that I had a lot of dirt on my face. But overall, I didn't break out and happy with the results. Stay tuned for Week 3...

Checking In, New Post coming soon

Hey everyone! I've been so busy lately, picked up some extra hours at work and chasing after my two year old. I'm in the processing of doing some vlogs soon and new post about products I've recently purchased. I love when Ulta has the 21 Days of Beauty sale. I spent too much money in there but it's so worth it! I will be posting about Week 2 of finding a facial regimen soon and getting into Week 3. I already purchased some new products for that also! So I will be back very soon with new stuff......stay tuned!!!

My Natural Hair Journey

It was five years ago on my birthday when I decided it was my last relaxer. I was just so tired of my hair breaking off, it only growing to a certain length and just the expense of keeping it up. I wasn't very knowledgeable about going natural at the time so I got press and curls or went to the Dominican salon. I also wore my share of weaves, braids, had my hair long and short and so many different colors. My hair seemed healthier, it was growing but still shedding like  crazy. I really didn't do much with my hair except wrap it, put some kind of product on it and did flat iron when needed. Little did I know all the heat damage I was doing to my hair. In my area, I really didn't see a lot of people with natural hair. Every female had a relaxer, weave, braids, you name it. So I really had no one to ask how to properly manage natural hair, how to style it, or just what to do. The only thing I could do was turn to the Internet. Sometime around last year, I really started to n

Week 2~ Finding a Facial Regimen

For Week 2, I changed a few products from the previous week and changed the routine a bit. This week, I will exfoliate more than once and will use a mask. Here are the products I'm using this week: Daytime: Cleanser- L'oreal Ideal Clean Foaming Gel Cleanser Toner- Witch Hazel SPF- L'oreal Sublime Sun Eye Cream- Racinne Ultimate Youth Power Eye Serum Moisturizer- Korres Nighttime: I wanted to try something a little different for my nightly routine. First I would moisten my face and apply coconut oil then use Target brand Makeup Removing Wipes. Next I would swipe my face with the Cleansing Water, apply Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel then moisturize with a little Coconut Oil. I was doing a little reading online and decided I needed to start using an SPF daily. Even though I'm not in the sun all day, it does come in contact with my skin and I need to protect it better. I also wanted to try using a eye cream/serum to help prevent wrinkles in the future and fine

Week 1 Results

So in my previous post, I'm on the hunt for finding a skincare regimen that works for me. I'm going to be doing this for about four weeks and hopefully find something that works. Here is a recap on the products I used during week one: Daytime: Cleanser- Nastassja                 Toner- Apple Cider Vinegar                 Serum- Epionce                 Eye Cream- Yes To Cucumbers                 Moisturizer- Korres Nighttime:Coconut Oil                  Cleansing Water                  Eye Cream and Moisturizer(same as daytime) The first day of the new routine, my face did break out a little but calmed down after rubbing an ice cube across it. My skin felt like it was burning, maybe because I was doing something different. On Wednesday, I did exfoliate at night with Sukiface Exfoliating Cleanser (it is in my August Monthly Favorites post). On Thursday, I realized I ran out of my cleanser and used a cleanser called Menza that I received in one of my boxes. I really di

This is so amazing!! Must try!!

http://sunshinenellie.blogspot.com/2013/08/finally-got-around-to-trying-diy-foot.html?m=1 So I was searching Pinterest for something to help my dry feet. I started doing,my own mani/pedi at home to save money. I do come close to how they do it in the salon because the tools are at Sally's. My problem area was my heels, they would get so dry and I've tried so many products to help but found nothing.  I came across this foot soak and I was so amazed at the results, I just couldn't believe it!! It honestly works and your feet feel so soft and smooth. I used my Mr. Pumice stone instead of the foot file. You guys really have to try this out, you will not be disappointed!! The link is above! Let me know your results!

September Beauty Box, Saying Goodbye to one and hello to a new....

So my Birchbox came today and I really love what I got this month!! I still need to review August beauty boxes and will include this one too! Here are the items in my box: Benefit Cosmetics- Sugarbomb Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in a Pink Nude Color Coola-- Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face Juice Beauty- Green Apple Peel Sensitive Racinne- Ultra Youth Power Eye Serum Ruffian- Nail Lacquer in Delirium I will most likely incorporate the skin care items in next weeks Face Regimen exploration. I did deactive my Beauty Army subscription  :-( . I have been with them for a year but for the past few months, I was getting repeat products to choose from. If I really loved a product, I would of gotten another sample but I wanted to see different items each month. I even changed my profile to see if it would help but it didn't. When it was time to select this month, it was the items that I got last month with 3 different choices and I wasn't happy. Hopefully they make improvements so I would c

Week 1~ Finding a skincare routine and regimen

My skin has been really picky when it comes to what I put on my face. I have tried hundreds of products to get my skin to look so flawless and clear. Once I find something that I love, it breaks me out one day and then I'm back to square one. The only products I've ever used were a cleanser, moisturizer and makeup remover. Then all these other serums, eyecreams, toners and so on started to come around and I thought personally it was way too much to put on my face. Since I'm starting to get a little older, I want to look as young as I can for as long as I can ( which won't be too hard because people think I'm a teenager lol). So I decided to experiment with different products and routines to see if I can find something that works for me. I'm also going to just drink water, green tea and occasional coffee during this run. So this week this is my routine: DAYTIME REGIMEN: 1. Cleanser- Nastassja Blooming Facial Cleansing Oil, I am totally in love with these cleans

New Products!!

I think I need to ban myself from Target for a while lol! I was in there to but my son wipes and diapers and somehow wondered over to the beauty section and picked these up. The Yes To Grapefruit Brightening Facial Towelettes was on clearance and I couldn't pass those up and got Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel. I'm working on another post for experimenting with finding a day and night skin routine. So far I do like the eye gel. You only need a tiny but for your eye area and it goes on,smoothly. I will post something when I try the wipes!

New Makeup Products!!

It's good when you know a MUA that can always explain things and help you with the makeup experience. My good friend Michelle, works at MAC and I'm always in there asking questions about products and how to apply makeup and she is always so helpful!! I love that she applies the makeup so I can see what it looks like, if I like it or not and shows how she applies it!! So yesterday I purchased ProLong Wear Concealer for under my eyes and an Iridescent Loose Powder in Golden Bronze to highlight above my cheeks. The loose powder is pretty golden color that looked great against my skin. When I apply it myself, I will give a review it but I liked them so far!!

My August Favs!!

Figured I would post my favorites products of the month that I love and would recommend that you guys try! I'm going to start from left to right: 1. NYC Lipstick in Caramel ~I am just getting into the drugstore brands and I'm loving this lipstick!! It's a great neutral shade that I think anyone can wear and it feels great! 2. Victoria Secret High Definition Mascara in Blackest Black ~I picked this up during the semi-annual sale and I'm in love! It came in a box with another mascara but I like this one the best. It really gives my lashes length, doesn't clump and comes off easy at the end of the day. I hope this isn't being discontinued cause I'm definitely going to be repurchasing this one!! 3. Make Facial Primer~ I got in this in one of my Birchboxes and I really like it. I love that it has SPF in it and goes on smooth. It can also worn alone. Your makeup stays on all day and is just an overall great product! 4. Victoria Secret Mega Glow Bronzer~Also pi

New Beauty Product

I got a coupon at Target the other day for $2 off a Maybelline Fit Me product. I decided to to try out the new Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation stick. Of course they didn't have my shade but decided to use it as a under eye highlight/concealer. So far, I like it. I'm new to highlighting and really using concealer. I was currently using Cover Girl liquid concealer from the Queen Collection. It does help my under eye area look bright and gives a but of highlight. More to come....
