HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY PREVIOUS POST ON THE EVENT I ATTENDED ON  MENTAL HEALTH?? ~**Drea Notes**~ So my fiance wanted to tell me a surprise he had. Let's Get Uncomfortable: Mental Health Makeover

I honestly could not wait to do a post of this event I attended this past weekend. I am so glad I was able to attend and support my fellow Brown Girl Blogger, Ashley. I met her about two years ago at a Brown Girl Blogger meetup in DC. We kept in touch through social media and really love how she is so encouraging, empowering and in a way a mental health advocate. I saw that she was promoting her event one day and messaged me asking if I was able to attend. Good thing I was off the day of her event, I wanted to come and support her. I was really interested in learning more about mental health because it really isn't talked about much, especially in the black community and people need to be made more aware. So I did get there a little late lol but got there in enough time to absorb all this information. The event started out with a panel giving their expert advice and information, answering questions and just dropping knowledge on everyone. I was so into every word that was spok

I actually got to conduct an interview with the creator, Melissa Alam. You can find that on Life According To Her  YOUTUBE CHANNEL!! Tomorrow I will be attending a conference hosted by one of my fellow Brown Girl Bloggers. She is such an advocate for mental health and asked me to attend. Please check out her out HERE!!  Make sure you are following me on my SnapChat (naturalle_drea) and Instagram (naturalle_drea) to come along with me. I most likely will have a vlog for that day too. Hope you have a great weekend and see you Tuesday!! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY PREVIOUS POST FROM MY SERIES,  SHOPPING MY BEAUTY SAMPLES??

Shopping My Beauty Samples

It seems like the warm weather is trying to sneak back in lol. I hope the flip flop of weather doesn't mess with my allergies. I haven't shopped my beauty samples in a while and I have a few that I'm going to review today. Fro Butter Emu Oil and Jamaican Black Castor Oil Box It Came From: Onyx Box Full Size or Sample Size: Travel Size Price Point: 15.00 Review: I was really curious to give these butters a try. I have only used Shea Butter in my hair all this time. I really love both of these fro butters. They do not weigh my hair down, they both smell amazing and kept my hair soft and moisturized. The Emu oil is geared towards hair growth and the Jamaica black castor oil is to help thicken your hair. I would repurchase these. Not Soap Radio Joy Inducing and Beach + Sky  Blue Water Box It Came From: Birchbox Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size Price Point: 16.00 Review:   I love when I get samples of body washes. The names of these are so cute a

On A Personal Note...

I had another post planned for today but I'm not sure what was up with my laptop and the pictures downloading super slow. I got a little impatient and wasn't going to write anything but something just came to me. It seems like there is so much going on right now, it is hard to see anything that is positive in the world. It just seems like everything is so crazy and out of control. I know a lot of people feel fear, anger, sadness and hurt. I just felt so inspired after attending The Fearless Conference. It was great to be around so many women and no one was talking about each other in a negative way, everyone was super sweet, down to earth and genuine. You don't see a lot of that on tv now. I know reality television is supposed to be for entertainment but how women are being portrayed sometimes is not right to me. I have stopped watch a lot of those shows because I just see women tearing each other down, calling each other outside of their name, being very disrespectful and

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum Review*

I am loving this Fall weather! Sometimes I wish we could skip over Winter and go straight to Spring lol. Today I am bringing you another review powered by BrandBacker. As you know I have been loving every Valentia skin care product that I've tried so far so let's see if I love this product too. *This review is my opinion after testing this product. *Powereed By BrandBacker I have never tried any products with retinol before so I was a little scared at first. I was not sure how my skin was going to react so I looked up what retinol is and how it would benefit my skin. Here are the main benefits and ingredients of this serum directly from the Valentia site: Retinol (Vitamin A): This clinically proven antioxidant is a triple threat! It works at the cellular level to stop wrinkles from forming, manages acne breakouts, and even out skin discoloration. Retinol helps reverse the clock, for more youth looking and acting skin. Vitamin C: An essential nutrient that b

Meaux Moisture Review

Happy Tuesday! I hope you guys had a great weekend! Today I am going to be sharing my thoughts on these products by Meaux Moisture. My fiance told me to check this company's page on Instagram a while back and I'm glad that I did. Meaux Moisture is a company that was started by Morissa Jenkins when she started developing her own products in her kitchen. She wanted to make products that were natural and good for you, especially after having her child. Sometimes you don't know or can't pronounce some of the ingredients in your skincare or hair care products. You should know what is going into your body and what you are using. This is also a Black Owned Business as well and I love that you know the ingredients and that the products are natural and safe, even for children. I was interested in a few products and have been trying them out for the past couple of months. Let's jump into the reviews of each product. Gleaux Body Balm I was really interested in

September Goal Results and October Goals

I can't believe October is already here! I'm just happy my son finally decided on one Halloween costume and not three lol! Today I am sharing how I did with my September Goals and my new ones for October. You can view the previous post  HERE!! Daily Affirmations- I did slack off a bit but caught up on the daily affirmations. They really helped with trying to keep a positive attitude during the day. Some of them really spoke to me and reminded me on how you should always stay positive. Establish Skincare Regimen- I have established a skincare routine because I was pretty much all over the place lol. It is important to exfoliate your skin to get the dead skin cells off and keep it looking youthful. I would go a couple weeks without exfoliating or using a mask sometimes. I plan on doing a full skincare video but my routine has been working. Read Dreams Are Built Overnight- I have not finished this book so I am rolling this goal over to October. So far, this book is so ama

The Fearless Conference

The Fall weather is officially here! I started to pull out my jackets and long sleeve shirts, I love this time of the year. Today I am going to be talking about my weekend at The Fearless Conference.  This is the second year for this conference that was created by Melissa Alam. This conference was created to get women together to empower and encourage women to not be afraid of taking those leaps of faith and go for what they desire to do. You get to be around like minded women and get advice, tips and motivation from those that have learned to become fearless in different industries. You can learn more about the conference  RIGHT HERE!! A little while back I was contacted by Ahiyana Angel of Life According To Her to go on her behalf and takeover her Instagram stories. I was super excited and flattered that someone thought of me to do something on their behalf. I couldn't wait to attend the event. We stayed in contact to map out a plan for the weekend and she was very e

On A Personal Note...

It is currently 12:45am and I just finished twisting my hair and kind of forgot I had a post that is supposed to go up today lol! I had something else planned for today but just wanted to be personal today. I had the most amazing weekend and just still thinking about it. I attended The Fearless Conference in Philly but I was doing my first Instagram takeover during the conference!! A little while back, Ahiyana Angel of Life According To Her reached out to me about taking over her Instagram stories during the conference. She first thought of me because I'm in the area and has been watching me on social media since we came in contact at her event, I Need New Friends (I have a post on this event, just to refresh your memory, you can read  RIGHT HERE )! I was super excited because someone thought of me and saw potential in me going to an event on their behalf. I then became a little nervous about doing so. I really didn't tell too many people until everything was all set. I will ha
