Shopping My Beauty Samples

It seems like the warm weather is trying to sneak back in lol. I hope the flip flop of weather doesn't mess with my allergies. I haven't shopped my beauty samples in a while and I have a few that I'm going to review today.

Fro Butter Emu Oil and Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Box It Came From: Onyx Box
Full Size or Sample Size: Travel Size
Price Point: 15.00
Review: I was really curious to give these butters a try. I have only used Shea Butter in my hair all this time. I really love both of these fro butters. They do not weigh my hair down, they both smell amazing and kept my hair soft and moisturized. The Emu oil is geared towards hair growth and the Jamaica black castor oil is to help thicken your hair. I would repurchase these.

Not Soap Radio Joy Inducing and Beach + Sky  Blue Water

Box It Came From:
Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 16.00
Review:  I love when I get samples of body washes. The names of these are so cute and creative. I love how you can you use them for shower or bath. I only used these in the shower so far but have enjoying them so far. They lather very well, don't leave your skin feeling dry and smell amazing. I would probably repurchase.

Supergoop Sun Defying Suncreen Oil

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 8.00-34.00
Review: I have never used a sunscreen oil before and was kind of scared to use it at first. I thought it would be more of a tanner than protect my skin from the sun. This really did help protect my skin from getting burned. I love the smell of this first of all and I was super surprised of how non greasy it was. It did not stain my clothes and was just a nice sunscreen. I may repurchase this.

NSpa Coconut Rich Body Butter

Box It Came From: Walmart
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 5.48
Review: Can I just say the scent of this made me think of being on a tropical island? I love coconut scented body products and I just love the scent of this. It is not too strong and has the right amount of coconut lol. I really loved the formula of this body butter. It kept my skin moisturized and soft all day and didn't feel heavy at all. I would repurchase this body butter.

Dr. Brant PoreDemabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 58.00
Review: I have loved everything I got from Dr. Brandt and this is something to add to the list. His products are just amazing for your skin and work so well. I love how gentle this scrub was and it got the job done. My skin felt so smooth and soft. I know you can't put a price on skincare, I may invest in the full size.

Global Beauty Care Dead Sea Wash Off Mask

Box It Came From: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 9.99
Review: The packaging for this is so convenient and easy to use. I was excited when I saw this mask, I love a good mud mask. I loved the way this one left my skin feeling so soft and looking healthy. I would probably repurchase this mask.

Cailyn Extreme Matte Tint in Surrealist

Box It Came From: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 19.00
Review: Liquid lipsticks are still so popular now, it is hard to keep up with them. I have tried lip glosses by this company and liked them. I love the color of this lipstick and how pigmented it is. It does not feel drying at and has an amazing wear time. Here is a swatch of the lipstick. I most likely would repurchase this again.

  2. My sample stash accrued so much that it got very overwhelming for me! I'm in the process of 'nesting' right now lol and ended up giving a whole bagful of samples to my MIL to take to her work and share with her friends. I absolutely LOVE Dr Brandt's PoreDermabrasion and encourage you to purchase the full size! The Global Beauty Care Dead Sea Wash Off Mask sounds wonderful, I'll definitely check into that! Thanks so much for sharing Andrea! x

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
