Black Owned Business Feature: Ivy's Tea Co

I just can't over that it is July already! The summer heat is officially here and I am just excited about doing fun things this Summer.

Today on the blog is another Black Owned Business feature. You have seen this company on here before and I honestly never thought I would kick my everyday coffee habit/addiction with tea. It started off just supporting this company and it turned into a daily thing for me now. I barely drink coffee anymore (I know, shocker lol) but I have Ivy's Tea Co to thank.

I discovered this company on Instagram months ago when I was searching for Black Owned Companies to support. I love the hip hop infused vibe of this company and the overall message for being healthy. Each tea has amazing benefits for your metabolism, stress, mood improvement and so on. I never knew that tea could be so beneficial health wise.

Ivy's Tea co is much more than teas. They also have honey, mugs and infusers. They also have a quarterly subscription box that you see on here regularly. I have discovered new flavors of honeys and teas that you would not find in the stores.

I also love that this company gives back. Every last Friday of the month is Philanthropy Fridays. The proceeds from a portion of the sales go toward different charities such as The Grocery Store Project and Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts.

This is just an overall amazing Black Owned Business. If you are a tea lover like I have become, you will like these teas. You can check them out RIGHT HERE!!

Enjoy your 4th of July and see you guys Thursday!

  1. I am going to check out the teas.
Being a daily coffee drinker i would love to find something else to satisfy that mid day slump. It is always great to see a company with a good product and gives back to the world community.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

No Buy is Officially Over!!

Yay!! I survived 2 months without a single makeup purchase!! I am so proud of myself and knew I had the will power to do it!! It really helped me staying out of Sephora, Ulta and Mac, the usual places that get me in trouble lol! When I went into Target or Walmart, I wouldn't even go near the makeup section. Funny thing is, I haven't run to the store yet to purchase anything on my wish list yet but I will soon. You can see what is on my wish list here.  After organizing my makeup, I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use and need to try out soon. I'm going to try to really shop my stash before running out and buying something new. Maybe next time, I will go for a 3 month no buy!! Have you successfully completed a no buy? What is currently on your wish list? Comment below and let me know!! ~** Drea Notes**~ We went to the beach today and I'm so glad we did! It was such a fun day with the family!! I'm trying to get back to working out lol!  ...
