Review on The Bridesmaids

Hey guys. I am back with another book review! I'm really loving this book club that Bichbox and Birchbloggers started, I haven't read a book in a good while. This review is going to be on The Bridesmaids True Tales of Love, Envy, Loyalty...And Terrible Dresses by Eimear Lynch.

When I first received this book I thought it was going to be a fiction novel from the view points of the bridesmaids in a wedding. This book is true stories and the author's own personal story of being a bridesmaid in a wedding. She intreviewed different women and men to get their stories and experiences with being in a wedding. I absoultely loved reading this book. I laughed, cried, gasped and all other emotions while reading this book. I would recommend this for anyone that is about to walk down the aisle or about to be in wedding party. My favorites stories from the book were from the men. It was very interesting to hear how a few men were "Bridesmen" and really took part in the whole experience. One guy was the "Man of Honor" for his sister and it was so sweet that he was planning everything, keeping her calm and just being a great brother. He took on a lot of stresses that the maid of honor would in a wedding party but he did an amazing job from what I read. There were so many interesting stories in this book and was just an overall great read.

I haven't had many bridesmaids experiences. I was only in 3 weddings in my life and all were family weddings. The last wedding I was in was 9 years ago. I have only been to 1 bachelorette party and a few dozen weddings and bridal showers. When it is my turn to make that trip down the aisle, I hope not to become a bridezilla at any point lol!

So that is it for my review on The Bridesmaids. Have you ever been a bridesmaid? What were your experiences with being in a wedding? Comment below and let me know!!

  1. This books sounds like it would be good! I have been a bridesmaid in 4 weddings...2 as a teen/adult. I had good experiences with no bridezillas however my own wedding was far more stressful/drama haha!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

No Buy is Officially Over!!

Yay!! I survived 2 months without a single makeup purchase!! I am so proud of myself and knew I had the will power to do it!! It really helped me staying out of Sephora, Ulta and Mac, the usual places that get me in trouble lol! When I went into Target or Walmart, I wouldn't even go near the makeup section. Funny thing is, I haven't run to the store yet to purchase anything on my wish list yet but I will soon. You can see what is on my wish list here.  After organizing my makeup, I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use and need to try out soon. I'm going to try to really shop my stash before running out and buying something new. Maybe next time, I will go for a 3 month no buy!! Have you successfully completed a no buy? What is currently on your wish list? Comment below and let me know!! ~** Drea Notes**~ We went to the beach today and I'm so glad we did! It was such a fun day with the family!! I'm trying to get back to working out lol!  ...
