My Beauty Bash Party

Happy Friday again!! If most of you follow me on social media or read about it in previous posts, I recently hosted my Beauty Bash party!! Thanks to Birchbox and Benefit Cosmetics for teaming up and doing this awesome thing!!

Birchbox sent out this email and promoted this giveaway to win a box full of beauty products from Benefit Cosmetics to host a Beauty Bash for you and five of your friends. Of course I entered and was so surprised when I got the email that I will be receiving one of those boxes! I immediately contacted five of my best friends to join in on the fun! It was a great way to have a girls night because some of us are moms, have crazy work schedules and its hard trying to get everyone together. I was just super excited! So you had to pick a date during the weekend of September 26-28 which was National Wing Women weekend and that Friday was the best time to host.

I was so happy when my package arrived with all my goodies for me and my girls!! I couldn't believe what was in my box!! Being the host of the party, I received the full size They're Real Mascara and  They're Real Push Up Liner and my Wing Women received the sample size along with Lolli Tint, The Porefessional and we had 1 full size Hoola Bronzer and two shades of the Gimme Brow to share. Birchbox and Benefit Cosmetics also supplied the bags to put goodies in, balloons, coasters and cards with a special Birchbox offer. I added mirrors for everyone and small Bath and Body Works candles. I just couldn't wait to have my party. There was also a website where it gave tips on how to host your Beauty Bash. It had drink and food recipes, games to play, a Pandora station to listen to and decorations.

When it was the day of my Beauty Bash, I was just too excited for the day to go by so I could see my friends!! I packed all the bags the night before and labeled each bag with everyone's name.

For decorations, I purchased pink streamers and hung them on the ceiling in my living room and created a Selfie Station for everyone to take pictures during the night.

I wanted to try some of the recipes that were provided on the website but I had to work before hand so I made pasta, Garlic Bread and Strawberry Cupcakes when I got home. I asked my Wing Women to bring something to eat or drink and we had plenty of wine lol, someone brought Garlic Wings, chips and bruschetta and other snacks.

And you see the corner of my son's fish bowl and Happy is still alive!! Yay!!

So when everyone was arriving, we were talking and catching up and someone suggested we watch How To Get Away With Murder since it premiered the night before. Everyone was hooked on that show including myself. After watching, we played the games that I printed from the website. The first one was Wingo, it was like Bingo but beauty related. As the night went on, we had to mark off if you saw anything like someone taking a selfie, someone with bling on, twerking(I'm was surprised that was on there lol) and just like Bingo, you had to get five in a row. The next game was called Flattergories. There were 15 categories such as Color, Drink and Dance Move and the host had to come up with a letter and everyone had 3 minutes to fill in each category with something that started with that letter. For example, I picked the letter S and a color you could fill in for that category would be Silver. This game was so much fun, we were too busy laughing at everyone's answers. The person who had the most points won the game. I had two prize bags for each game.

Honestly, we really didn't get into the makeup because we were having too much fun laughing, eating, drinking wine and just catching up. I will be doing reviews on the products I received soon! I'm so glad I was able to host this party and we were all talking about planning more Girls Night and a Girls Trip somewhere. Thanks again to Birchbox and Benefit Cosmetics for this amazing giveaway!!

So that is it on my Beauty Bash. Were you picked to host one? If not, what do you do for girls night? Comment below and let me know!! See you guys Sunday!!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
