My DIY Hair Treatment

Happy Sunday!! Seems like the Fall weather is here to stay. I've been loving the last bits of warm weather that we had lately. I recently updated everyone on my hair routine and mentioned that I was working on a hair treatment that I apply to my hair before I wash it. I've been tweaking the recipe and trying different things out and I found something that has been working!!

1/2 Cup of Tresemme Naturals Conditioner
5 Tbsp of Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp of Jamaican Black Castor

Now you can use any conditioner or oils that you want but this recipe has been working for me. You would mix everything together in a bowl, apply to your hair, cover with plastic cap and leave in for 15 minutes and up to an hour. This really has helped soften my hair and make it so much easier to wash. I have tried this along with a banana and it really made my hair super soft.

So that is it for my DIY hair treatment. What hair treatments do you use? Comment below and let me know. If you gives this a try, let me know your results! See everyone on Tuesday!!

  1. This sounds easy enough. Is this mainly for coarse hair that is more difficult to manage? Or for all hair types?

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
