Men's Skincare

Hey guys. With Father's Day coming up this Sunday, I thought I would dedicate a few posts to the men out there. One of my friends asked me months ago about doing post for the guys and I thought this month would be great. This post is going to be about skincare. I know a lot of men ask why we use all these products and have too much stuff lol! I know I get asked that by my boyfriend lol! I think that men should have a skincare regimen like we do. They probably won't need as many steps and products as we do but should still have products that help keep their skin looking good.

This routine is kinda based off what I have purchased for the man in my life and how he takes care of his skin. You guys can take from it and make it your own. First thing in facial care is cleansing. You should find a good facial cleanser that helps remove dirt and cleanse the skin. I purchased Dove Men Care Face Wash and it is a really good cleanser. My boyfriend really likes how it makes his skin feel and I noticed a difference when he started using it. It is very reasonable and can be found at Target. Next step in a facial routine is toning. I'm not sure if a lot of men use toner but I feel they should. It helps get rid of the extra dirt and help tighten up the face a bit. I know my boyfriend doesn't use toner that much but when he does, its my Apple Cider Vinegar. I love using this as a toner. It is not too harsh on my skin and its very good for your skin. I'll do some more research and come up with some toners for men. Next step is moisturizing. Its important to keep your face moisturized and soft. A great moisturizer is by Dove. My boyfriend has oily skin in his T-zone and this has helped control the oil. It also keeps his skin moisturized during the day. It is also important that your moisturizer has an SPF in it to protect your skin from the skin. The Dove moisturizer does contain SPF. Another important step that I think men should do is exfoliate. It's important to remove the dead skin cells on your face. I try to exfoliate 1-2 times a week and the same should be for the men. I'm always using different ones and having my boyfriend try them out too lol but I will look into ones that are great for men.

That is it on Men's skincare. Hope you guys have picked up something from this. I will have another post updating about great skincare products for men. What products to your guys currently use? Comment below and let me know!!

  3. Thank you for writing these tips Andrea! My husband is very low maintenance lol, he just uses my Clearasil facial cleanser and he's done. I gotta give it to him though, his skin is so much more better than mine but I think it's because he doesn't put anything on his face? Hehe. I appreciate the ideas and will try to incorporate something into a routine for him though. xx

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

No Buy is Officially Over!!

Yay!! I survived 2 months without a single makeup purchase!! I am so proud of myself and knew I had the will power to do it!! It really helped me staying out of Sephora, Ulta and Mac, the usual places that get me in trouble lol! When I went into Target or Walmart, I wouldn't even go near the makeup section. Funny thing is, I haven't run to the store yet to purchase anything on my wish list yet but I will soon. You can see what is on my wish list here.  After organizing my makeup, I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use and need to try out soon. I'm going to try to really shop my stash before running out and buying something new. Maybe next time, I will go for a 3 month no buy!! Have you successfully completed a no buy? What is currently on your wish list? Comment below and let me know!! ~** Drea Notes**~ We went to the beach today and I'm so glad we did! It was such a fun day with the family!! I'm trying to get back to working out lol!  ...
