Review on Shopping My Samples-Week 2

Hey guys! I'm back with the reviews of the samples that I used last week. I did push one of the mask to this week because of the Lush Fresh Fresh Mask that I forgot I purchased and wanted to use it before it expired. So let's get into the reviews!!

Tigi Glow Blush in Haute

Box it came from: Glossybox
Sample size or Full Size: Full Size
Price Point: 22.00
Review: I really love this blush!! The color is so gorgeous, it gives your skin a  nice bronzy glow. I don't think I've seen a blush in this color before. It's perfect for summer. It has great pigmentation and just an overall great product. I think 22.00 is a bit much for the size of the product, I'm sure I can find a dupe out there. Here is a swatch of the blush:

Addiction NV Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Have A Mojito

Box it came from: Beauty Army
Sample Size or Full Size: Full Size
Price Point: 16.00
Review: I thought this lip gloss was just okay. I really liked the minty scent it had and that it was not sticky at all. It went on pretty smooth but didn't last for too long. I had to reapply a couple time during the day. I love the color that I got, it was a very pretty shimmery bronze color. It looked very neutral on me. When I was looking for this company, it said that they were no longer available. I thought that the company went out of business but they are under a new brand name, Hey Sailor Cosmetics and have repackaged everything. I'm not sure how much this tube of gloss was under the old brand name, I'm just going by what the price is now. Here is a swatch of the gloss:

Nicka K New York Very Chelsey 350 Solid Perfume

Box it came from: Glossybox
Sample Size or Full Size: Full Size
Price Point: 14.99
Review: This was such an interesting product to try out! I don't think I've ever heard of solid perfume or seen perfume in this form before! I really liked the scent of this, it was a mild musky scent to me. The only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't smell the perfume half way through the day. I'm not sure if I was using it correctly or it was my nose lol! I think I probably would repurchase something like this again.

M.V. Organics Body Oil

Box it came from: Birchbox
Sample Size or Full Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 80.00
Review: I really enjoyed using this body oil. The scent was a bit strong for me at first but faded as the oil absorbed into my skin. I love how soft and supple my skin felt. It really absorbed down into my skin and kept it moisturized all day. I feel this is a good quality product and would repurchase this body oil. I wish the company sold this oil in different sizes.

Serious Skincare Glycolic Gommage Exfoliating Facial

Box it came from: Birchbox
Sample Size or Full Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 38.00
Review: I didn't know what to expect from this product. The title of it just threw me off and I wasn't sure if it was a facial cleanser or exfoliater. It's actually a facial mask and exfoliator in one, gotta love a multi-purpose product! You would apply this as a mask and then gently exfoliate your skin as you're washing it off. This was like other mask/exfoliating products that I've used before. It left my skin feeling soft and it had a nice glow to it. I don't think I would repurchase this particular one but I would love to have a mask/exfoliating product.

Whish Correcting Gel

Box it came from: Birchbox
Sample Size or Full Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 32.00
Review: I haven't had any luck trying out gel based moisturizers. They have not kept my skin moisturized and made my face feel pretty dry. This correcting gel is different from the others I've tried. I love the pleasant coconut scent of this moisturizer. It gel moisturizer really kept my skin hydrated and soft throughout the day. My T-Zone didn't get oily at all and I really enjoyed using this product. I think I would repurchase this moisturizer, it would be great to use during the warmer seasons.

Those are my reviews for the products used for week 2. Have you used any of these products? What were your thoughts on them? Comment below and let me know!!

  1. The only solid perfume I've heard of is an MJ perfume. Rachel Talbott on YT always raves about hers, I think they are such a nifty idea, great for on the go!
    Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
