Review on Shopping My Beauty Samples-Week 1

Hey guys! I'm back with a review on all the products that I used this week! So let's get started!

YouDaBalm Lip Balm in Grapefruit

Box it came from: Beauty Army
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 2.99
Review: First I just love how this lip balm is made from 100% natural ingredients such as Organic Palm Oil and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It felt so smooth going on my lips and really made them soft. The grapefruit was such a sweet scent and not overpowering. My lips stayed moisturized throughout the day and had to reapply maybe 2-3 times. I would repurchase this lip balm again.

Color Club Nail Polish In Status Update

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 8.00
Review: When I first got this polish, it looked grey to me in the bottle. I'm thinking that I already have a color like this but boy was I wrong! This blue-grey color is so gorgeous, I don't own a color like this and I just love it!! The polish was so opaque, you only need one coat but this is with two coats of polish. It went on nice and smooth. I would most definitely repurchase this nail polish! Why didn't I use this sooner??

Harvey Prince Journey Perfume

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 55.00
Review: I seem to be one of the few people that don't mind getting perfume samples! I love trying out the fragrance before deciding to make a purchase on it. I really liked the scent of this one. It is perfect for Fall or Spring time. For the price and size, I don't think it would be worth purchasing but I wouldn't mind a few more samples of it!!

Koh Gen Do Oriental Plants Emollient Cream

Box it came from: Glossybox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 123.00
Review: My face tends to act funny when it comes to certain moisturizers and my skin actually liked this one! I love the kind of thick and smooth texture of the cream and how soft my face felt. My T-Zone got a bit oily but not too much. I would repurchase but would that is a bit much for me to spend on a moisturizer!

Eslor Skincare System

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: Cleanser-28.00, Moisturizer-65.00, Scrub-28.00, Mask-38.00
Review: I used the whole system for about two days. I could of gotten more usage out of it but my face started to break out a bit and I didn't like some of the products. I'll start with the cleanser. I liked the gel like consistency of it but just didn't like how my face felt after using it. You didn't need a lot of the product to cleanse your face. I just thought it was okay, don't think I would purchase it. The moisturizer was pretty good. I liked how thick and creamy it was but it made my T-Zone very oily. The rest of my face stayed moisturized. I would not purchase this moisturizer. The scrub was a bit too gritty for me. I like my facial scrubs to feel pretty smooth. It got the job done and my face felt pretty great but just didn't like the texture of it. Lastly, I used the facial mask. It smelled so amazing, the scent felt very relaxing like you were at a spa. It didn't have that tight feeling after it dried which I liked. My face broke out a bit after washing it off but my skin looked so amazing the next day. I may try the mask again.

Wash With Joe Coffeemint Invigorating Body Wash

Box it came from: Glossybox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point:28.00
Review: I honestly thought this was going to smell like coffee. It had the color of it and I was kinda scared. The mint scent really woke you up and gave a burst of energy. I really liked the scent of it and how my skin felt after using it. The only thing was the bottle it came in. It came in a very hard plastic bottle that was pretty difficult to squeeze to get the product out. I had to take the top off to use the bodywash. I'm not too sure if I would purchase this but I did enjoy using it.

That is it for Week 1 reviews! The products that I will be using next week will be up tomorrow. Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts on them? Comment below and let me know!!

  1. Nice bunch of goodies! The grapefruit lip balm sounds very nourishing...I love that it contains natural ingredients. I love the deep blue/grey shade of the polish...I like to wear deep shades on my toe nails, so this is right up my alley;) Oh and the body wash sounds like a boost of energy. I actually wouldn't mind if it did smell like coffee...I love coffee!
    Great reviews Andrea!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
