It's Been A Lush Kinda Week

Hey guys! I can barely contain my excitement about IMATS this weekend!! I can't wait! But that's not what this post is about. As you know, I was at Lush earlier this week to get the Hair Henna put into my hair. I was in Lush the week before and purchased a Fresh Facial Mask and got a sample of Ocean Salt. I kinda forgot I got the facial mask until I saw it in the refrigerator lol! So let's get into the review.

Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask

I'm always on the Lush website looking at the next products that I want to try. The Fresh Facial Masks really caught my attention so I decided to give one a try. It was kind of hard to really choose which one I wanted to try out but I went with the Brazened Honey. I love that all the Fresh Facial Mask are made with real ingredients that are all good for your skin. The mask I purchased gives you a deep clean and helps with getting rid of dirt and oil.

I thought this mask was going to smell like honey when I opened it but all I smelled was Sage! It was just a relaxing and sweet scent that I loved so much! My bathroom just filled with the scent of Sage, it was just so nice! This mask also contains ground almond shells for exfoliating also. Here is what the mask looked like.

It felt so smooth and creamy when I applied it to my face. That scent was just so relaxing to me, I just wanted to sit back like I was in a spa. I left the mask on for about 5 minutes and it was so easy to wash away. I loved the extra bonus of exfoliating for skin when you wash it off. My skin had this amazing glow to it and it was super smooth and soft! I would most definitely recommend trying this mask or any other fresh face mask. They cost 6.95 and can only be purchased in the store because it required refrigeration.

Ocean Salt

When I was at the register, the associate asked if I wanted a sample of anything and I told her to suggest something. She gave me a sample of the Ocean Salt scrub and suggested that I use this before the mask to help get rid of any dead skin I may have. This was a great suggestion! Ocean Salt can be used on your face and body. I have never tried a salt scrub before and was hoping it wasn't too harsh on my skin. The smell of this really makes you feel like you're at the ocean. I used this sample on my face and body. I did take the associate's suggestion and used it before the Brazened Honey mask. It was not that rough and harsh feeling on my face and really left it so smooth. I really loved how it felt when I used the scrub in the shower. My skin really felt so soft and still does! I do like the feeling of a salt scrub and would try them more often. I would also recommend trying this product out too. The full size runs between 21.95-35.95. Here is what the sample looked like.

So those were my reviews on my recent Lush purchases. What products have you tried from Lush? Have you tried either of these products? What were your thoughts? Please comment below and let me know!!

  3. I recently purchase the Mask of Magnaminty mask and the popcorn lip scrub. I have reviews in the works for each. I really want to try this honey scrub! And the salt scrub at that but $24.00 is a bit pricey for the full size product. I wasn't offered any samples when I went otherwise I would have gladly tried some lol. There is a blueberry mask I almost bought that also has to be refrigerated. Great post Drea! Thanks for sharing!

    1. I was looking at the Popcorn Scrub when I was in there and can't wait to see your reviews on what you got!! I wish the Ocean Salt came in two sizes. I'm surprise you weren't asked if you wanted to sample something. If you ask them, they normally give you samples of products you want to try out! Thanks for reading Tanya!!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

Taking a break.......

On Tuesday I did mention that I had some exciting news to share. I have been working part time for a while and searching like crazy for full time work. I was starting to get a little frustrated but never gave up. Well a full time opportunity came up at my current job and I am now full time status!!! I was just so overjoyed and thankful. I will have a more stable income, I can go back to school and start to make some moves. Then I started to get a little overwhelmed. How was I going to juggle being a full-time working mom, grad student, blogger and balance everything else. It has been a while since I had a full time schedule and based my blogging schedule around my days off during the week. I start my full time hours next week and just need to take a small break away from Naturalle Drea. I really didn't want to because I love this so much but I need to see how to handle everything. I will most likely change my blogging schedule around. Thank you to those who have been encouraging to...
