Review on Shopping My Beauty Samples Week 5

Hey guys!! Sorry for the delay of this post, I had a really busy weekend! My family and I threw a surprise birthday party for my mom and it was such a success!! She was really surprised!! So lets get into the reviews on the products I used the last few day of April!!

Skin&Co Roma Sicilian Body Gel

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 18.50
Review: I always love a good body product and this was a good one! I loved that it was a body gel and you didn't need a whole lot to wash with. It lathered up pretty good and smelled just as good. I would say this is a unisex scent and either a female or male can use this. It left my skin feeling pretty smooth and didn't have that dry feeling like some body washes do. I think I would use this again.

Uniqone All in One Hair Treatment

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 17.99
Review: Usually when I get hair samples, its products that I don't really use like hair spray or beach wave spray. I really didn't read the label on this one and thought it was another hair product that is just going to sit in the drawer. Well I picked it up and saw that it was something that I could really use in my hair and I'm glad I did. I love a multi-purpose product and this one has a lot of great hair benefits. It helps with repair on dry and damaged hair, shine and frizz control, heat protection, silkiness and smoothness, hair color protection, easier brushing and flat ironing, detangling, long lasting hairstyling, split end prevention and adds body to the hair! I used this after styling my hair and it did help with frizz, my hair was pretty smooth and shiny and it help retain moisture in my hair. Plus this stuff smells so good, its like freshly washed hair to me! I think this is something I would pick up when I'm done with this sample!

Marula Facial Oil

Box it came from: Beauty Army
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 78.00
Review: This is another product that I had no clue on how to use when I received it in a box. I wasn't using facial oils at the time and didn't think it would work on my face. I'm currently using Tarte's Maracuja Oil at night and I absolutely love it. I thought this would be just a good. It was hard with this being a sample size to determine how much to use. It said to use 3-5 drops day and night all over your face to help with preventing aging. You could also mix this with with your regular moisturizer too. To me this was okay. It was kind of a thin formula and I didn't want to use too much on my face. When I did use it, it didn't keep my face moisturized for very long. When I added more oil, my T-Zone became oily. I didn't try mixing this with the moisturizer I'm using now but I didn't think I would revisit this.

Alfaparf Milano Cristalli Liquidi Hair Serum

Box it came from: Total Beauty
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 14.99
Review: I got the Total Beauty box from a Living Social deal. I think it was 15 dollars for the box and it had over 50 dollars worth of products and this was one of them. I had no idea what to do with one either but I'm glad I decided to give it a try. I like the pretty thick consistency of the oil and it goes on nice and smooth. It smells like it should be perfume for your hair. I did notice that it help control the frizz in my hair. I think I would continue to use this and maybe purchase the full size.

So those are the reviews of the products I used last week. Have you tried any of these products? Which ones would you try? Comment below and let me know!!

  3. Great reviews Andrea. I haven't had much luck with hair serums (when my hair has been flat pressed) .My hair looks great for a few mins and then the frizz returns.

Make Beauty Review*

Happy Friday beauty lovers! I hope you have been enjoying Winter again lol! I hope Mother Nature gets it together soon lol. Today I am bringing you another review powered by BrandBacker! *I was sent these products for testing purposes and this is my opinion after using. Let's get into the reviews! *Powered By BrandBacker* I was pretty excited when I was picked for this campaign. I have tried a Make Beauty eyeshadow before and loved it. Honestly, I was expecting the samples to be a little bigger. I was a little disappointed in the lipstick sample, it was hard to use. It kept breaking when I was trying to apply it. Make Beauty is a very new company to me that I was introduced to through Birchbox.  They have just about everything from eyeshadows to contour kits. They also have a line for skincare as well. Alabaster Eyeshadow This shadow on the Make Beauty site is described as a soft eggshell with peach undertones. This shadow is a matte and can be used as a brow

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over
