Brown Box Hair Product Reviews

Hey guys! I haven't done a post in this series in a while! I think I'm running low on the hair products I have and I think my best friend has more for me lol! Let's get into the products I used yesterday when I washed my hair.

Aubrey GPB Balancing Conditioner

I used this to co-wash my hair and this stuff was pretty amazing! I love the scent of sage in this and how it made my hair feel. It had pretty good slippage so I could finger detangle my hair. My hair felt so soft after rinsing this out. I think there is a shampoo to go with this and I would be really interested in trying it out. I would most definitely use this again. This is the full size bottle and it runs about 11.00. You can find it on their website and in beauty supply stores.

Naturals by Hask Strengthening Masque

I used this after co-washing. I loved that this masque contained avocado which is great for softening your hair. This was really easy to apply and I liked the thick, silky texture of the this hair masque. I left it on for 10 minutes and rinsed out. My hair felt so smooth and soft afterwards. I would use this masque again. You can find this in your local beauty supply store or online for about 2-3 dollars for this size.

Hair Rules Leave In Conditioner and Finishing Creme

I used the leave in conditioner before styling my hair. I thought this was okay. It had the texture of a hair lotion more than a leave in conditioner. It did the job but prefer thicker textured one. The full size bottle runs about 15.00. The finishing creme is used after styling your hair which is something I've never used or heard of before. It is supposed to help control the frizz and it did that. I smoothed this over my hair after twisting it and I like the product. I may use this one again. The full size of this one is about 7.50 and both products can be found online.

Those are my reviews on the hair products I've use this week. Have you use any of these products? Which ones would you be interesting in trying? Comment below and let me know!!

  1. The hair mask sounds lovely. I need to spend the time doing more hair masks. I use a leave in conditiner everyday..I've never heard of this brand. Thanks for sharing!

    Keisha xo

    1. Thanks for stooping by Keisha! You should definately try out the hair mask, I believe you can find it at Sally's. What leave-in do you use? I ran out of Cantu Shea Butter Leave in conditioner and I love it but want to try other ones.

  2. The hair masks interests me. I got one in my Ipsy bag this month at I really liked it!

    1. I love using hair mask, they just make your hair feel so soft. You should try it out, I loved it! Thanks for reading Tanya!

  3. i have dry coarse hair, and in the summer, i need products like these

    1. The hair mask will help because my hair was feeling a little dry and it helped put the moisture back in. My hair gets a bit dry when it's hot outside. If you try any of these out, let me know! Thanks for stopping by Elle!!

Book Review: Dreams Are Built Overnight

Can't believe my birthday is next week, next Monday to be exact! I just want to have a nice, relaxing day. Today I am bringing you another book review (I know, two in one week lol)!

I have to say, I really proud of this guy and everything that he is doing now. I actually went to elementary school with David and he was a pretty cool person(and still is lol). Before this book, he started a company called Sleep Is 4 Suckers which sells apparel with a message behind it. David also expanded into motivational speaking and is a pretty dynamic speaker. I really wanted to support him and read this book because I was really drawn to the title of it.

I honestly did not want to put this book down when I started reading it. I read this book every free moment I had because I really wanted this information to sink in. You can really visualize what David is saying in this book and really picture the message he sharing. He really does drop a lot of amazing knowledge, tips and advice in this book.

Happily Ever Johnson: Registries, Rings and Things

It is crazy how fast this wedding is approaching! I can't believe it is almost February and June will be here before we know it! We have done so much with wedding planning and trying to make sure we have everything covered. First we started with finishing our registries. We started them but it just didn't feel complete. Earlier this month we attended a Sip and Scan event at Macy's. They had representatives from different brands such as Mikasa, Kitchen Aid and All Clad to answer any questions about products and to help you pick out the things you would like to put on your registry. They had a DJ there, passed hors o'derves and mocktails.

Here we are with the scanner having registry fun lol

We didn't have our formal or everyday dinnerware on the registry and finally picked those out. It was hard trying to decide what to go with. For everyday, I was looking for something that was durable since we have a 5 year old and dishware that was going to last. For our formal di…
