Shopping My Beauty Samples

Hey guys! I'm back with my new series I created "Shopping My Beauty Samples" last month. I used a few products in the past couple of weeks and here are my reviews on them.

Pop Beauty Plump Pout in Fuchsia Freesia

Box it came from: Ispy
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 16.00
Review: When I first saw the color of this, I was scared of the color. It looked so bright to me and I was wondering how it would look. To my surprise, it was not that bright on me. I love the color of this gloss, perfect for Spring. It's a bit sheer but still opaque. This gloss is so moisturizing, not sticky at all and does last for a good part of the day. I only have to reapply about once, maybe twice during the day. I would most definitely repurchase this gloss. Here is a swatch of it.

Jouer Moisturizing LipGloss in Pink Glace

Box it came from:  Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 20.00
Review: This came in such a cute little sample size container and the color is so gorgeous! I love the glitter and sparkle of this gloss and the pretty pinky, champagne color. I was pretty excited to use this lip gloss. This color is very sheer, you can wear it alone or layer it over another lip product for extra shine. The only thing about this lip gloss is that it doesn't last very long. I found myself reapplying it often during the day. It is pretty moisturizing on your lips. I've only used this alone but maybe it will last longer if it is layered on top of something else. I'm not sure if I would repurchase this but I do like the product. Here is a swatch of this lip gloss.

New York Streets Dry Shampoo

Box it came from: Beauty Army
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 17.99
Review: I've heard a lot about dry shampoo and became really curious to see if it really works. I picked this dry shampoo but never used it and just wasn't sure about it. I didn't have time two weeks ago to wash my hair and decided to try it out. It sprays like an aerosol can and smells pretty good. My scalp didn't itch for a about a week and I guess it did it's job. I'm still unsure as to how dry shampoos work but will try this again.

So that's it for the products I've used from my beauty sample drawer. I will have more reviews and post coming soon!!

~** Drea Notes **~

Can't wait for this holiday weekend, so need a break.

I feel like my dirty clothes multiply overnight, I can never seem to complete my laundry!!

Been slacking off on working out again lol! I'll get back into the rhythm of it soon!

  1. Love the Pop Beauty lip gloss. I use Batiste Dry Shampoo and love it. Its only $7.99 I believe at Ulta. The one above seems expensive. One thing I should note though..I previously tried the original can and it only left a little white on my hair which was easy to rub in. However, I just picked up the Leopard Print bottle and it sprays out SO MUCH WHITE. It still does the job but my hair looks gray ish on my roots and I have to really fuss with it and sometimes even wet it. I won't be repurchasing the leopard can. I want to try the Batiste for red heads and see if it helps with my brown roots!

  3. The Pop Beauty lip gloss is such a beautiful shade of pink! I would love to own it! I always wondered about dry shampoo sprays. I've used powders in the past and they have been ok-ish.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
