On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post HERE!! I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then.

Blogging Goals

1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon.

2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have.

3. Change Up Current Style- I am still playing around with things and designing how I want my blog to look. It really needs an update very soon.

4. Get Calendar and Blogging Book- I am still using both so I can remember what post to do and reviews on products. They both really help me stay organized and remember things because it is easy to forget lol!

5. Proof Read Better- I feel like I've gotten a little better with this. I read my post out loud and to myself a few times before publishing. Sometimes I do find some typos I missed but it is not as much as before. I would love to take a creative writing class to brush up on my skills.

6. Learn More About Blogging- I have not looked at all the research I did previously since May. Grad school is the only research I'm looking at lol. I do need to go back over it and try to research some more.

Personal Goals

1. Wear Makeup More Often- I wear makeup almost everyday except on my days off and the weekends. I love creating new looks and just wearing makeup in general. I'm trying to wear my lashes and blush when I can. I haven't played around with contouring too much but plan on trying. I post my looks on my Instagram (naturalle_drea) page and my Facebook page for my blog. If you are not following my Facebook page, you can RIGHT HERE!

2. Dressing Up More Often- You can probably catch me in a dress or skirt now 3-4 days out of the week and sometimes a whole week! I love dressing up but I've been getting hit on a lot lately lol. Can't help being pretty lol! I also try to post my outfits of the day on my social media outlets!

3. Be More Prepared and Organized- This has been a life saver most mornings when I wake up late. It helps so much having clothes ironed, lunches and bags packed the night before. My son sometimes wants to fight with me about getting up and wanting to wear his pajamas to school so it helps us not to be late lol.

4. Use BBW Stash More- Well, since I discovered some perfumes, my stash has taken a backseat. I do pull out some of my favorite scents sometimes but I mainly wear perfume.

5. Not Stress So Much- This one has been on and off most of the time. It is hard when I have such a demanding schedule and I wonder sometimes how I do everything. My job has become a little more stressful in the past couple of weeks and I just want to lay down when I get home but I have another full time job at home and seeing how excited my son is when I walk in the door makes all that go away. It keeps me motivated to get stuff done and not be so stressed. It is still a work in progress but I'm getting there.

6. Finding Myself and Figuring Out What What To Do- Of course this will be a work in progress as well. I'm proud of myself for taking that leap and on the road to getting my masters. It is a tough road but I'm so determined to finish with something that will help me. I've been thinking about how to grow my blog and YouTube channel. I can't believe I have 28 subscribers!! There are a lot changes that need to be made and lots of work that I need to put in. I have been getting better with my videos and editing them. I need to play around with editing more and tutorials will be coming soon. I think I know what I want to do, I'm still trying to figure it out. I will get to where I'm supposed to be when it is time.

So that is it on the update of my personal and blogging goals. I plan on starting to set monthly goals in January. Have you set goals for yourself? How have you been making out? Comment below and let me know.

*** I will have post coming Monday-Wednesday of this week and won't be back until next Thursday for the holiday weekend! Please check back those days for more posts!***

Make Beauty Review*

Happy Friday beauty lovers! I hope you have been enjoying Winter again lol! I hope Mother Nature gets it together soon lol. Today I am bringing you another review powered by BrandBacker! *I was sent these products for testing purposes and this is my opinion after using. Let's get into the reviews! *Powered By BrandBacker* I was pretty excited when I was picked for this campaign. I have tried a Make Beauty eyeshadow before and loved it. Honestly, I was expecting the samples to be a little bigger. I was a little disappointed in the lipstick sample, it was hard to use. It kept breaking when I was trying to apply it. Make Beauty is a very new company to me that I was introduced to through Birchbox.  They have just about everything from eyeshadows to contour kits. They also have a line for skincare as well. Alabaster Eyeshadow This shadow on the Make Beauty site is described as a soft eggshell with peach undertones. This shadow is a matte and can be used as a brow

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over
