October Favorites

Happy Sunday! It has been such a busy week and weekend with work, schoolwork, birthday party and the Spartan Race!! I was so excited and nervous about the race. I didn't know what to expect but was up for the challenge. It was a bit tough for me but I pushed and had motivation from my son, boyfriend and coworkers that I did the race with. I'm so proud that I completed the race and I would actually do it again! Here is a pic of my medal, shirt and headband. I am still super sore lol!!

I normally have videos for my favorites but I didn't have the time this month so its a regular post. I don't have too many things to talk about but let's get into my October Favorites!

Elf Cosmetics Blush Palette in Dark

I couldn't resist when I saw this palette in the Elf store. I saw Jaclyn Hill and Carli Bybel talking about this palette on their channel and I love it! I am trying to wear blush more often and have been reaching for this palette a lot. These colors are right up my alley and look so good on my complexion. The blushes are pretty pigmented and I just love them. The palette is 6.00 and can find it at any drugstore that sells Elf. Here are swatches of the blushes.

NYX Cosmetics Conceal Correct Contour Palette in Dark

I started to notice that concealer alone is not hiding how tired I look and the dark circles when they are visible. I learned about color correcting from watching YouTube and wanted to give it a try. I saw this palette in Ulta and have been loving it. I love how smooth the cream product applies and blends out so well. I have noticed a big difference in my under eye area. You can tell which shades I've been using a lot lol. I haven't tried the contour shades yet but plan to soon. Here is what the palette looks like,

Cover Girl Outlast All Day Primer

This primer was supposed to be in a future post but I had to talk about my new holy grail primer now. This primer is everything right now! If you didn't know, I have a pretty oily T-Zone and find myself blotting away the excess oils during the day. This primer really controls the oils and I don't have to blot away anything during the day. It blurs out imperfections and minimizes the look of large pores. I don't even reach for any of my other primers anymore since I started using this one. This was about 7 or 8 dollars. I highly recommend trying this primer if you have combination skin or an oily T-zone.

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara

I previous talked about this mascara in my Shopping My Beauty Samples series which you can read HERE! I have been using this mascara all in October and still love this mascara. I just love the way it makes my lashes look!!

Anastasia Beverly Hill Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown

I know I'm late on this eyebrow product but it sat for a long time. When I first used it, I really didn't like it too much. I think I used too much and just put it away. I figured that a little bit of this product goes a long way and really see the hype about this product. I love how my brows look and this is the perfect shade. It is well worth the money.

YSL Black Opium Roller Ball Perfume

I was at work one day and stopped by my coworkers desk. She went to Sephora on her lunch (yea there is a Sephora within walking distance of my job and its a problem lol) and had this perfume. She said she was looking for this because it was sold out for a while. I smelled it and was at Sephora buying this on my lunch lol. This perfume smells so amazing, it is nothing like I smelled before. I just fell in love with it and have been wearing it every chance I got last month. If you are ever in Sephora or see this perfume, just smell it lol!

Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow in Medium/Dark

When I don't have time to do my brows with the Anastasia, I have been reaching for this. I talked about this product in Shopping My Beauty Samples as well and just love it. This makes doing my brows so easy in the morning when I don't have time and I just love the way my brows look. I use this with my NYX Eyebrow powder to do my brows. This is a sample size but I plan on purchasing the full size.

So that is it for my October Favorites. What were your favorites last month? Comment below and let me know. Enjoy the beginning of the week and see you guys Thursday!!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

Taking a break.......

On Tuesday I did mention that I had some exciting news to share. I have been working part time for a while and searching like crazy for full time work. I was starting to get a little frustrated but never gave up. Well a full time opportunity came up at my current job and I am now full time status!!! I was just so overjoyed and thankful. I will have a more stable income, I can go back to school and start to make some moves. Then I started to get a little overwhelmed. How was I going to juggle being a full-time working mom, grad student, blogger and balance everything else. It has been a while since I had a full time schedule and based my blogging schedule around my days off during the week. I start my full time hours next week and just need to take a small break away from Naturalle Drea. I really didn't want to because I love this so much but I need to see how to handle everything. I will most likely change my blogging schedule around. Thank you to those who have been encouraging to...
