Big Little Lies Review

Happy Sunday. My team isn't playing today but it's still good to watch some football. Well this post is going to be on Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty from Birchbox Book Club. This book was a long one, 458 pages to be exact. It really took me a while to read it but was very worth it!!

This book kept me guessing the whole way through on what really happened and who did what. It took me a while to figure out this takes place is Australia, I knew it was somewhere overseas because the children were saying "Mummy." I'm not going to give too much away because this is so worth reading. This story starts out in the beginning of the school year for some first time kindergarteners. It mainly focuses on the parents of some of the children. Drama already starts to unfold before the children go to orientation. I love how the author puts police statements by some of the parents at the end of each chapter about the night in question. It really keeps you guessing about what happened during the Trivia Night and who did what. Every family has many secrets, lies, drama and just craziness in thier lives. Most of the moms really take it to the extreme and are very catty. When I finally got to the night in question and it was revealed what happened, I dropped the book and was literally running around going " Oh my gosh!! Really???"

If you haven't read this book, please go out and get it. I know over 400 pages is a lot to get through but it is so worth reading!! The author did an excellent job with this book and I would like to read more books by her. I didn't get picked for this months book which was the series of Gone Girl but I hope to get picked for next months book. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you guys Tuesday!!

  1. Wow you read a ton of books! I used to get through a whole book in a bout a week before I started blogging. Now blogging takes up way too much of my time which leaves very little time for reading :(

Make Beauty Review*

Happy Friday beauty lovers! I hope you have been enjoying Winter again lol! I hope Mother Nature gets it together soon lol. Today I am bringing you another review powered by BrandBacker! *I was sent these products for testing purposes and this is my opinion after using. Let's get into the reviews! *Powered By BrandBacker* I was pretty excited when I was picked for this campaign. I have tried a Make Beauty eyeshadow before and loved it. Honestly, I was expecting the samples to be a little bigger. I was a little disappointed in the lipstick sample, it was hard to use. It kept breaking when I was trying to apply it. Make Beauty is a very new company to me that I was introduced to through Birchbox.  They have just about everything from eyeshadows to contour kits. They also have a line for skincare as well. Alabaster Eyeshadow This shadow on the Make Beauty site is described as a soft eggshell with peach undertones. This shadow is a matte and can be used as a brow

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over
