April Favorites

Happy Sunday!!! It has been a crazy busy week and weekend for me!! One of my best friends got married over the weekend and the wedding was amazing!! We had such a good time. Well, as I would say it's better late than never and here are my April Favorites. I didn't get a chance to film a video so I'm doing a regular post. So grab a snack and enjoy!!

Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick

I picked these up at IMATS back in April and have been wearing them ever since!! I have heard so many good things about these liquid lipsticks and had to get my hands on them. They are so pigmented and long wearing. I really didn't have to touch up my lipstick at all during the day. They do not feel drying at all which a plus. They do transfer a bit so be careful of that but they stay pigmented all day. I have two in the colors Berry Me and the limited edition Black Rose. Here are swatches of both.

I really recommend picking a few of these up, they are pretty amazing!! I'm in love with them lol!!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

After hearing some of my favorite You Tubers rave about this brush, I had to pick one up. I already love Real Technique brushes and knew this one would be a new favorite. It applies my foundation evenly and gives a flawless finish. The brush is super soft and just an overall great brush to own. Here is a close up of the brush.

Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Styling Butter

You guys already know this is one of favorite hair care lines. I saw this in Target one day and decided to give it a try. I love the thick and creamy texture of this styler and how moisturizing it is. Here is what the product looks like.

It gives my hair amazing definition and helps keep my style looking great during the week. Here is a picture of a twistout I did using this styling butter.

Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter

I'll admit to picking up hair products and letting them sit in my bathroom for a while until I remember that I purchased the product lol!! I have heard so much about this twisting butter, I had to try it out. I was very impressed with the results I got after using this. I love the creamy consistency and the smell of this product. Here is what the products looks like.

It helped keep the moisture in my hair and my style lasted for the week. Here is picture of my hair after using this twisting butter.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Extra Moisture Detangler

This is another random purchase I made at Target lol and really love this product. I already love Shea Moisture and this is another new favorite. I use this before styling my hair to get any tangles out I may have missed. My hair is pretty thick and can get tangled easily. This products really helps styling my hair so much easier.

So that is it for my April Favorites. What were your favorites last month? Have you tried any of these products? Comment below and let me know. Hope you have a great week and see you Thursday.

Happily Ever Johnson:Tastings and Things

The countdown to this wedding is getting real. April is around the corner and the big day will be here soon! I have starting stressing about the small details and hoping we have everything. We got to do the fun stuff recently, food tasting! I know that was the thing we were both looking forward to. We first had our food tasting at the venue. You were able to bring family members to the tasting and you got to experience the full service during the reception and everything on the menu. I liked that everyone was given a paper with a description of all the menu items so you knew what you were eating and take notes about each dish. I found it helpful to have some other people with us so you got an idea of what the majority of guest would like and different opinions about each dish. We narrowed down what dishes we wanted on our menu and they were all so good!

Us after the tasting

My son was super exciting to do the cake tasting with us! He just wanted lemon cake and wanted us to have lemon…

Spring Fashion Trends

For many years I would say that I'm going to NYFW and then forget when it is lol! One day I'm going to make it there lol! Speaking of fashion, today I'm going to share a few Spring Fashion trends that I will most likely be wearing this season. (Images taken from the web)
Vibrant Stripes
I love wearing bright and bold colors when it gets warmer outside. This trend is super fun and such a statement. You can wear this in the office with a bold striped button up or out on the town with a maxi dress.

One Shoulder
I really think this trend is super cute and flirty. I have seen many versions of the one should trend over the years and this one seems to be my favorite. I would probably wear this with a top or dress.

Slogan T-Shirts
I know these have been around forever and this trend to me will never go out of style. There are so many slogans out there, it is hard to keep up with all of them. I do have a few myself and I love how you can dress them up or down.

Happily Ever Johnson: 3 Months To Go!

*Que screaming and running around like a crazy person*  I can't believe we are three months away from the big day!! It seems like yesterday we just got engaged and started making plans and now it is almost here. I'm not freaking out yet (Lies, I am on the inside lol). I just want to make sure we don't forget anything lol. It seems like it is so easy to forget something when just about everything is going on. I'm getting into the swing of things in my new position and most of my focus seems to be there at the moment but I'm making sure to keep up with everything. I recently met with my coordinators (aka My mom, aunts and cousins) to preview the centerpieces. I'm so thankful for them stepping in and helping with the decor and planning. I'll give you guys a sneak peek at the centerpieces but you won't see the full effect of everything until after the big day.

Of course I drew my inspiration from Pinterest. I have spent so many hours on there and found so m…
