Shopping My Beauty Samples

Happy Rainy and Icy Sunday!! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I haven't done a post in this series in a while and I have been really trying to use my samples. Let's get into the reviews.

Naobay Body Radiance Lotion

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 18.00
Review: I really loved using this body lotion. I loved the creamy and thick texture and how soft it made my skin. There was enough in this sample size for a few uses. The scent was okay and I think this would be great for men and women. I think I would repurchase this again.

One Love Organics Rose Body Serum

Box It Came From: Glossybox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 39.00
Review: When I first received this sample, I wasn't sure if it was a perfume or for your body. I went online to figure out its purpose. I thought this body serum wasn't going to keep my skin moisturized all day but it did. My skin felt so nice and soft all day. I love the rose scent that it had, it would be perfect for spring or summer. I would repurchase this to use when it get warmer outside.

UniqOne All IN One Treatment

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 17.99
Review: I got this sample a while ago and haven't used it. When I decided to straighten my hair a couple months ago, I thought about to giving this a try. When I opened it, I was pretty disappointed that it wasn't full. There was only a little bit of the sample left in the bottle. I'm not sure if it was from the product sitting for so long or it came like that. From the little I was able to use, I did like it. It had a smooth and creamy texture and smelled amazing. I guess it worked okay, I only had enough to use on a small section of my hair. I would like to try this sample again to really have a better review on it.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner Blackhead Extractor Mask

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 45.00
Review: I have been loving all the Dr. Brandt products I have been able to try. I was pretty excited when I saw this in my box. I noticed that I do get some blackheads around the nose area and on my nose. This mask really does get in your skin and get rid of the blackheads and leaves your skin feeling and looking refreshed. I love the gentle cooling sensation it has and it doesn't get too tight on your face. You really can't put a price on your skincare and Dr. Brandt is worth spending the money on.

Em by Michelle Phan Lipstick in I'm Taken All Red-y

Box It Came From: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 7.50
Review: I was pretty excited when I saw this in one of my first Ipsy bags! I heard some good things about the creator of Ipsy's cosmetic line. I really love this shade of red. It is the perfect one you can wear everyday. The color is sheer which is great for building up the color or you can wear it alone. The wear time was okay, I had to keep reapplying a couple times during the day.I thought I had pictures of myself wearing this lipstick but I think they got erased. :(  It wasn't drying at all and was pretty moisturizing. This lipstick does contain glitter which was pretty subtle. I think I would try out some more lipsticks from Em by Michelle Phan.

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 19.95
Review: I was so excited to see this in my box a few months ago. I have heard so many great things about this palette. I love all the shades of pink which is my favorite color by the way lol.

These shadows are pretty pigmented and easy to work with. They didn't fade or crease at all during the day. When my No Buy is over, I think I may get this palette. Here are swatches of the shadows and a look I created with them.

So that is it for Shopping My Beauty Samples, Have your tried any of these beauty products? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you guys Sunday.

  1. I would like to try the Dr Brandt pore mask but that brand is so expensive! The coastal scents shadows look pretty good. Love the pic of you at the bottom. You look gorgeous! Love the lip color. It looks great against your skin tone. El and I are going to IMATS this year. We should meet up!

    2. Elle and I are thinking Sigma. Are you going one day or two? Its so expensive this year! I thought it was less last year and that they were offering a discount if you buy a 2 day pass. But regardless we will be so bummed if we can't get to all the booths we want to hit up in one day so we are doing two days I believe. We already got our tickets for Saturday. The hours are only 10-5 this year..last year it was 8:30-5

    3. I know, I was like how much for IMATS this year??? I'm only going on Saturday. That's crazy they pushed back the time but we still will be leaving mad early in the morning lol! I think my friends and I were going to split up and give each other money and stand in separate lines. That Sigma line was crazy last year and so was Lime Crime.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
