Fall Favorites 2014- Skincare

Happy Sunday!! I've had another busy day with coaching my girls at a playoff game and it was so cold out there and birthday party. Also trying to get this laundry completed before it drives me crazy!! So here is the second post to my Fall Favorites and it is going to be on skincare.

Body

The colder weather is not so nice to my skin. I need to use something heavy to help keep my skin moisturized and soft. I just picked up the Nivea Essentially Enriched lotion and have been loving it so far. My skin is so soft and stays moisturized and doesn't get ashy lol. Its also good to reach for a good body cream or body butter to help your dry skin. I love the ones from Bath and Body Works.

It is also good to switch up your body cleansers when it gets cooler out. I still use a shower gel but will reach more for body creams to wash with. They are so moisturizing and help with keeping the moisture in your skin. Its also important to exfoliate your skin to help get rid of the dead skin cells and help keep your skin feeling smooth and soft. I love the Tree Hut body scrubs, they are not abrasive on your skin and leave it feeling so good. I also love making my own body scrubs to save on money.

Skin

Along with my body, my face gets dry as it gets colder. I need to use a heavier moisturizer on my face and I have been loving my L'oreal Active Daily Moisturizer so far. It does make my T-zone a bit more oily but it keeps my face moisturized all day. I also try to exfoliate my skin more and use a mask. I have been slacking on that but it really helps maintain your skin and keep it looking youthful.

Another tip is to drink plenty of water. You have to take care of your self on the inside too. I drink nothing but water when I am at work and I love that my job has a water machine. I can just refill my bottle all day. I've noticed a difference in my skin and body, it helps with retaining moisture.

So that is it for my Skincare Fall Favorites. What body and skin products do you love to use when it gets colder? Comment below and let me know. Hope you enjoyed your weekend and see you guys Tuesday!!

Anyone try the new holiday drink from Starbucks? I was going to over the weekend but wanted to wait.

It feels different having my hair straight. I've been trying to think of things to do with it lol. I kinda miss my curls.

Can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!! I'm excited to eat all day and spend time with family!!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

No Buy is Officially Over!!

Yay!! I survived 2 months without a single makeup purchase!! I am so proud of myself and knew I had the will power to do it!! It really helped me staying out of Sephora, Ulta and Mac, the usual places that get me in trouble lol! When I went into Target or Walmart, I wouldn't even go near the makeup section. Funny thing is, I haven't run to the store yet to purchase anything on my wish list yet but I will soon. You can see what is on my wish list here.  After organizing my makeup, I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use and need to try out soon. I'm going to try to really shop my stash before running out and buying something new. Maybe next time, I will go for a 3 month no buy!! Have you successfully completed a no buy? What is currently on your wish list? Comment below and let me know!! ~** Drea Notes**~ We went to the beach today and I'm so glad we did! It was such a fun day with the family!! I'm trying to get back to working out lol!  ...
