Skin Care Product Review: Origins

Happy Friday!!! I have had a pretty busy day and just getting to writing this post. I am going to be reviewing the Origins products that I purchased on Black Friday from Sephora. It was part of the 10 dollar deals they have during the holiday season. Let's get into the reviews.

The box of the Origins came with three different products and all were sample size. It was great if you wanted to try out the product before purchasing the full size. I am still using these samples, you really get more than a couple uses out them. I have tried Origins previously and really loved them! I just can't use a whole line (cleanser, toner, moisturizer) or my face would break out. I can use products individually.

Clear Improvements

This charcoal mask helps get down into your pores and clear them of impurities. I love using charcoal mask because they really draw dirt out and clear your pores. This one really did what it was supposed to. I noticed a big difference after using this mask. My skin felt so refreshed and looked amazing. I use this mask once a week and the full size product is 17.00 for the 1.7 oz and  25.00 for the 3.4 oz.

Drink It Up Intensive

I always wanted to try an overnight facial mask. I was afraid that the mask would get all over the pillows and make a mess. That is not the case with this one. I haven't had a messy pillow case at all. I love that this mask smells like candy!! It makes me want to eat it lol! It has a nice, silky texture and doesn't feel heavy at all on the skin. It really absorbs into the skin during the night and left my skin feeling super soft the next morning. The full size of this mask is 17.00 and 25.00 for the 1.7 and 3.4 oz bottles.

Modern Friction

I tried this gentle dermabrasion a couple years ago and it broke my face out. I think it was from using all the Origins products at the same time. I was a little hesitant on giving this a try again but I wanted to see if I could use this product alone. Good news, it didn't irritate my skin at all!! I love how gentle and creamy this product is. You really don't feel the exfoliation too much. It really left my skin feeling very smooth and soft. I think I can use this product now. The full sizes are 20.00 for 1.7 oz and 39.50 for 4.2 oz.

Overall, I had a great experience with Origins this time around. I really love the results I got and how my skin looks and feels. I would go on and repurchase the full size products. How you tried anything from Origins? What were some of your favorites? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you Sunday!!

  2. I haven't tried any origins skincare but my friend loves the Charcoal Mask. Maybe I will pick up a kit like this if they have something similar at Sephora or Macy's.

    1. You can go to Macy's and I think they would give you samples to try before purchasing. They should have the little sample kits too. Thanks for stopping by Tanya!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

No Buy is Officially Over!!

Yay!! I survived 2 months without a single makeup purchase!! I am so proud of myself and knew I had the will power to do it!! It really helped me staying out of Sephora, Ulta and Mac, the usual places that get me in trouble lol! When I went into Target or Walmart, I wouldn't even go near the makeup section. Funny thing is, I haven't run to the store yet to purchase anything on my wish list yet but I will soon. You can see what is on my wish list here.  After organizing my makeup, I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use and need to try out soon. I'm going to try to really shop my stash before running out and buying something new. Maybe next time, I will go for a 3 month no buy!! Have you successfully completed a no buy? What is currently on your wish list? Comment below and let me know!! ~** Drea Notes**~ We went to the beach today and I'm so glad we did! It was such a fun day with the family!! I'm trying to get back to working out lol!  ...
