Shopping My Beauty Samples

I hope everyone had a great weekend. My son was so excited about the Eater bunny and eating jelly beans lol. We make sure that he knows the real meaning of these holidays and its not just about the candy and presents. Today I am sharing a few reviews from my beauty stash. Let's get into the reviews!

You Be Natural Botanical Black Jamaican Castor Oil Scalp Soother Ointment

Box It Came From: Cocotique
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 8.98
Review: I could not wait to use this. My scalp gets really itchy inbetween washes and I look for something to help. Oils can sometimes weigh my hair down and I forget that I have dry shampoo around lol. This really helped relieve and sooth my itchy scalp. It has a pretty light scent and very lightweight. I would purchase this again.

Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying Melting Water Gel Toner

Box It Came From: Sephora
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 55.00
Review: I redeemed this as a 100 point perk at Sephora. I have heard so much about this company and really wanted to try them out. I really like this toner. It does have a strong scent but it goes away. It does help with controlling the oil and helps keep my skin matte. You have to be careful not to use too many mattifying products with this together, it will dry out your skin. I think I would probably repurchase if it wasn't out of my price range lol.

Promise Organic Ultra Moisturizing Argan Creme Facial Lotion

Box It Came From: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 14.99
Review: This moisturizer came to the rescue the past couple weeks. I ran out of my current one and my skin was not staying moisturized with one that I used previously. I found this one in my stash and fell in love. It kept my skin so soft and moisturized all day. It is very lightweight and feels amazing on the skin. I think I would purchase this again. Plus I love that it is 100% natural and parban free.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 79.00
Review: You guys know I love this brand and this is another favorite. I have loved everything that I've tried from this brand. Dr. Brandt has amazing products that really work with your skin and just improve the appearance of it. I may bring myself one day to purchase a full size product from them.

LottaBody Control Me Edge Control Mini

Box It Came From: Onyx Box
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 2.99
Review: I love the convenience of this edge control, you can throw it in your purse and go. It smells so good and I really like this one. It lays my edges down for the whole day, doesn't flake and doesn't give a crunchy, hard feeling. I would purchase this again.

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow

Box It Came From: Onyx Box
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 35.00
Review: I really like the concept behind this eyeshadow quad. You can either order a pre made palette or create your own. This one was created and I love it. This color scheme screams Fall but I feel like I can wear these during any season. The pigmentation of these shadows are okay, you do have to build them up a little but love the color pay off. I would get more of these shadows. Here is a look I created wearing most of the colors in this palette.

So that is it for my beauty samples. Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. See you guys Thursday!!

  1. I hear great things about Sunday Riley but its so expensive! I love the Dr Brandt scrub but so pricey too! That Doucce palette looks pretty but I'm all about pigmentation so I woul def need to swatch it first before purchasing. THanks for sharing!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
