Happily Ever Johnson:Tastings and Things

The countdown to this wedding is getting real. April is around the corner and the big day will be here soon! I have starting stressing about the small details and hoping we have everything. We got to do the fun stuff recently, food tasting! I know that was the thing we were both looking forward to. We first had our food tasting at the venue. You were able to bring family members to the tasting and you got to experience the full service during the reception and everything on the menu. I liked that everyone was given a paper with a description of all the menu items so you knew what you were eating and take notes about each dish. I found it helpful to have some other people with us so you got an idea of what the majority of guest would like and different opinions about each dish. We narrowed down what dishes we wanted on our menu and they were all so good!

Us after the tasting

My son was super exciting to do the cake tasting with us! He just wanted lemon cake and wanted us to have lemon cake at the wedding lol. The cake was included in our package which was great and a money saver! We just had to make an appointment to come into the bakery for a tasting and talk about the design of the cake. I was searching Pinterest until we found the cake design that we liked (I have spent so much time on Pinterest, its not even funny lol). Here is a snapshot inside the bakery (it was so cute inside).

We first talked about the design of the cake and I love how accommodating they were and how they wanted to make our vision come to life! Next was the fun part, cake tasting. It was hard to decide on a flavor because they were all so good. My son really enjoyed that part and was a big help. We decided on our cake flavor choices and I can't wait to see what the final product looks like.

I can't wait until my dress comes in next month but I still need to find shoes! I have been looking online and trying to find that pair that will go with this dress. We trying to get other little detail in order but things are really coming together. How did you keep things together when you planned your wedding? See you guys Thursday!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
