Shopping My Beauty Samples

I am loving this preview of Spring weather now! I hope it stays around for a while lol. I am happy that we didn't get that much snow this Winter but my son was looking for more snow days lol. It has been a while since I have done a post to this series and I have so many samples to review. Let's get into Shopping My Beauty Samples!

Curel Itch Defense Body Wash and HydraTheapy Wet Skin Moisturizer

Box It Came From: Walmart Beauty Box
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 9.73 and 10.94
Review: I was really excited to try these products out, especially the wet skin moisturizer. The moisturizer is pretty new. It is pretty similar to way you would use the one by Jergens. You would apply it after cleansing and just step out the shower. I really liked how my skin stayed moisturized and soft all day. The body wash really helped with itchy skin and keeping it moisturized. Both of these products work really well together and I would repurchase both.

Illamasqua Prescision Ink Eye Liner in Abyss

Box It Came From: Ipsy (I don't remember lol)
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 28.00
Review: I let this eyeliner sit for a while because I'm not so good at using this style of eyeliner. It is always good to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. It is always good to practice using different eyeliners as well. I have to say that I really like this one. It was not that hard to use and I love the formula. It is super black and does not budge until you wash it off. I think I would repurchase this.

EM Cosmetics The Great Cover Up Concealer in Deep Warm

Box It Came From: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 19.00
Review: I am not too picky when it comes to concealers, just as long as the color matches and does what it says. I have read a lot of mixed reviews on this concealer and I have to say that I like this one. It is pretty full coverage, creamy and easy to blend out. It did not crease at all and stayed all day. EM Cosmetics is currently rebuilding but I would repurchase this again.

Cargo Blush and Bronzer Duo and Eyeshadow Duo

Box It Came From: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 16.00 and 35.00
Review: I couldn't find these exact duos on the Cargo website, this is exclusive to Birchbox. I'll start with the blush/bronzer duo. I really liked the blush but the bronzer seemed like more of a highlight than actual bronzer. The pigmentation was okay, you have to build it up but I really like them. The colors in the eyeshadow duo are so pretty. It is a light golden color and a dark shimmery green. The pigmentation is pretty good and they are easy to blend. I'm not sure if I would repurchase these.

D. Benoit Matte Lip Colour in Dark Chocolate

Box It Came From: Onyx Box
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 18.00
Review: I love trying out different liquid lipsticks and was so excited to try this one. The color is so true to the name of dark chocolate. This is the perfect vampy lip color for Fall and Winter. I have to say this is one of the best liquid lipsticks I've ever tried!! It is so pigmented, not drying at all and has an amazing wear time. I would repurchase this again.

Here are swatches of all the makeup

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
