I can't believe another holiday weekend is here and September will be  here on Friday!! My son starts 1st grade next week, I'll try not to get emotional on the first day of school lol. I was actually looking at my very first blog post 4 years ago. It was crazy how I thought about creating a space for me to talk about my love of hair, makeup, beauty and fashion. You can see that post  HERE!!  So here we are, 4 years later, a YouTube channel with 70 subbies, doing makeup and hair tutorials and just grown as an overall blog. I'm so proud of myself for not giving up and to keep going, I still have those thoughts every now and then but I think about why I started this platform and I don't give up on something I really love and want to grow. I still see those big things happening here and speak things into existence. I want to reach 100 subscribers before the end of the year, I'm looking to improve my channel and quality of my videos. I'm just looking forward and wanting to grow and expand my brand. I hope this year brings new and exciting things and only gets better. I still can't get over that I officially have a 6 year old! It is crazy how that time flew by! This past weekend, I attended the Quintessential Natural Hair Tour. I saw this event on Instagram and immediately purchased a ticket. I was so excited to go. I didn't get too many pictures but did vlog at the event. I really loved that all the vendors at the event were Black Owned Businesses. I got to purchase some new products that I can't wait to try out. Six years ago, we were blessed with a little bundle of joy and it was instant love at first sight. I can't get over that my son is now 6 years old. It is crazy how fast 6 years went by. It seemed like yesterday we were just staring at him, watching him sleep and wondering what we do now with a newborn. I'm just glad I know what sleep is again because those first few months were a struggle lol. He started to become mobile and it was amazing to watch him take his first couple steps and then he was off walking and running around. It is just amazing that I helped create this little life that now has such personality and such an intelligent boy. It just amazes me that he is now reading and spelling everything in sight and is just a joy to have. Yes we have our not listening moments but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It has been a while since I've done an empties post on here. I actually forgot I had these empties until I picked up the bag and realized it was super full lol. I can't get over the fact that it is August already!! It will be back to school time before you know it! Today I am sharing my favorites from June and July. Naturalle Drea is turning 4 at the end of this month! Its crazy to think that I have been doing this for so long! Anyone try the new Starbucks drinks? I haven't yet and plan on it of course lol!

I had another post scheduled for today but this was on my heart to write about. I was kinda inspired over the past couple of months with this and also after seeing Girl's Trip (which was really amazing by the way, go see it). Next to my relationship with my family, I cherish my friendships. Those are the people who know you best, won't steer you wrong, there to listen to you, give advice when you ask for it or not, the people who you can call up and have a great time with no matter what you are doing and those who push you to do and be better. In return you do the same for them. I've have some friendships come to an end in the past and have out grown some friends but I've been wondering how I can be a better friend or how we all can be better friends. I'll admit to not keep in touch with everyone all the time but it is good to check in on some of your friends, you never know what they may be going through. I am one to put on that facade and act like everything is p
