Review on Rimmel Products

Happy Friday!! This post is going to be reviewing some Rimmel products that I have accumulated over the past few months. I have never tried Rimmel before reading about them from other bloggers so I wanted to give some products a try.

Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Pencils in Black and Nude

I have read so many great things about these pencils I had to go out and try them for myself. I got these when they were on sale at Ulta and I really do like these kohl pencils a lot. They glade on so smooth, are so pigmented and have a great wear time. I use both to line line my waterline and tightline. They are indeed waterproof which is great, I don;t want the raccoon eyes lol. I have used the black pencil a couple times as a liner. I'm glad that I have tried these out, they have become a new favorite. Here are swatches of both pencils.

Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Quad Eye Shadow in Sun Safari

I was drawn to this palette because of the colors. They are so pretty and ones that I would wear everyday. These shadows were very pigmented and would look great on anyone. They are all shimmer shadows which are great lid and hightlight colors. I didn't notice any fall out when I used them and they stayed pigmented all day. I'm not sure if each color has a name but I love them. Here are swatches of the shadows.

Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial

I really loved the pink-mauve color of this gloss. I wasn't expecting it to have a matte finish but it looked nice. This gloss was very pigmented and had a pretty good wear time. It didn't feel dry on my lips at all and I only had to touch up maybe once during the day.

Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in #05

I'm surprised I don't own a color like this in my collection. This is such a pretty berry color. This lipstick was pretty moisturizing and very pigmented. I love the wear time on these lipsticks, I didn't have to touch up at all during the day.

Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in #09

This is the perfect Fall color to wear. I love wearing wine colors in the Fall, This lipstick was so pretty and very pigmented.

Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in #14

This is such a great pinkish-nude color to have. I paired this with brown and plum lip liners. Here are swatches of all the lip products.

  2. I haven't tried Rimmel yet, though I've definitely been seeing the products around more frequently. I may need to get one of those eyeliners since I have a weakness for a good kohl pencil!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

No Buy is Officially Over!!

Yay!! I survived 2 months without a single makeup purchase!! I am so proud of myself and knew I had the will power to do it!! It really helped me staying out of Sephora, Ulta and Mac, the usual places that get me in trouble lol! When I went into Target or Walmart, I wouldn't even go near the makeup section. Funny thing is, I haven't run to the store yet to purchase anything on my wish list yet but I will soon. You can see what is on my wish list here.  After organizing my makeup, I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use and need to try out soon. I'm going to try to really shop my stash before running out and buying something new. Maybe next time, I will go for a 3 month no buy!! Have you successfully completed a no buy? What is currently on your wish list? Comment below and let me know!! ~** Drea Notes**~ We went to the beach today and I'm so glad we did! It was such a fun day with the family!! I'm trying to get back to working out lol!  ...
