This Isn't Good-Bye....

Funny thing is, I was trying to word this as not a good-bye because I'll still be blogging, just moving platforms lol. I can't get over how fast the Summer is going and it will be August on Wednesday. If you missed my initial announcement, I will be moving platforms as of this Thursday. You can follow me  RIGHT HERE!!! I know I eventually wanted to be dot com and wondered how and when I should move there. I want to grow and expand and be successful, that is the end goal right? I started here almost 5 years ago, I had no clue what I was about to get myself into and I just wanted a place for myself. This blog went through some name changes, writing styles, and so much to grow into where I am today. I figured I would find my platform, what I really wanted to talk about and just figure blogging out. I thought it was going to be easy at first but it was not. It was hard not to become so frustrated with no one really commenting at first and the low views not realizing I had to l

Be Your Own Goals

Funny things is, I was supposed to have a review up today on Ivy's Tea Co today but I forgot some the teas and honey at work lol. So I was staring at this screen before I started typing and was trying to figure out what to put up.  It is nice to admire others and inspire to be like them but it is also nice to be your own goals. It seems like social media has taken over and driving just about everything so you see like your goals and aspirations from your favorite influencer to celebrity. It is so easy to get caught up in other people's lives that you start to think that is how your life is supposed to go. You see your favorite Youtuber purchasing a new house, expensive car, going on shopping sprees, dating the hottest guy and so on. You see this and say to yourself, I want those things but in reality does it fit you and your current lifestyle?  I'll admit to purchasing some things I see others purchasing online but I will stop myself when it is something way out of

Fashion Nova Haul

I have been working on bringing more fashion related post on here. I often get caught up with everything else that I forget about them or can't find what to post about. I am working on some things but I did pick up some things from Fashion Nova a little while ago. I am starting to become a fan of them.  So that was it for my Fashion Nova haul. What fashion pieces have you picked up lately? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday!! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY LATEST  PERSONAL POST?? ~**Drea Notes**~ I am not sure what I have been doing but my nails have been growing and not breaking or chipping at all! I need to find this out so I can let you guys know. I can't believe my son will be turning 7 next month! He's getting so big too fast lol!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

Hair Demo f/Mixed Chicks

I have to say, I don't mind filming hair videos now. I was not a fan at first trying to film in the shower but it has gotten easier lol. Today on the blog I am sharing another hair demo featuring products from Mixed Chicks.  So that its for my review on Mixed Chicks. Which products are you interested in trying? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday!! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY  SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT??

Naturalle Drea Is.....

I have been back and forth about this for a while. The end goal of this blog and my brand that I'm trying to build is success. I have been just trying to figure out my next moves and what steps to take next. This particular move scared me a bit but I feel like I need to take that step out of faith and fully jump into this. You know the saying, if your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough.  Starting August 2nd, Naturalle Drea is will be moving to Word Press and officially naturalledrea.com! I am excited for this move and so thankful for those who started this journey here with me! I started this platform as outlet for myself to talk about the things I love and I have grown and learned so much from when I started over 4 years ago. I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first started but I fell in love with writing and creating content. I never thought I would start a Youtube channel either and I love creating videos (except for editing late at nig

Black Owned Business Feature: Ivy's Tea Co

I just can't over that it is July already! The summer heat is officially here and I am just excited about doing fun things this Summer.  Today on the blog is another Black Owned Business feature. You have seen this company on here before and I honestly never thought I would kick my everyday coffee habit/addiction with tea. It started off just supporting this company and it turned into a daily thing for me now. I barely drink coffee anymore (I know, shocker lol) but I have Ivy's Tea Co to thank. I discovered this company on Instagram months ago when I was searching for Black Owned Companies to support. I love the hip hop infused vibe of this company and the overall message for being healthy. Each tea has amazing benefits for your metabolism, stress, mood improvement and so on. I never knew that tea could be so beneficial health wise.  Ivy's Tea co is much more than teas. They also have honey, mugs and infusers. They also have a quarterly subscription box t

I can't believe Summer is here already! I can't wait to get to the beach, eat some cotton candy and funnel cake and catch fire flies with my son.  Today I have another hair demo featuring products by Kinky Curly. On A Personal Note...Am I The Bad Friend??

It seems like Summer is here already with this weather. It has been pretty warm lately. A while back I wrote a post about friendship. You can see that post  RIGHT HERE. Since then I started to sort of distance myself from certain people due to actions that have done or noticed that they have changed. I was never the friend who really said anything or told someone about themselves when they needed to hear it. That wasn't me. I was the goofy, wild, life of the party friend who always made everyone laugh. I was also there when you needed somewhere to stay or something happened, I was there. I feel like I expected so much out of other people but what was I giving back in return? Was I actually the bad friend and placing blame on others? Friendship was so much easier when we were younger. You just played all day, shared laughs, sleepovers, talked on the phone about boys and school for hours and it was a no judgement zone. You didn't talk about your friend, was always loyal,

Shopping My Beauty Samples

I wanted to try something different with this series. I thought about trying a tutorial and demoing the products for you guys. I gathered some makeup products I had in my stash and did a makeup tutorial featuring 4 beauty items. So that is it for Shopping My Beauty Samples. Let me know if what to see more post like this. Hope you guys have a great weekend see you Tuesday! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT THIS MONTH'S  BLACK OWNED BUSINESS FEATURE?? ~**Drea Notes**~ I can't believe my son will be going to 2nd grade soon! He is growing so fast! I can't wait to see The Incredibles 2, I think my son is more excited than I am lol.

Black Owned Business Feature: True Products

I am so excited to talk about this next company and product. When I discovered that there was a Black Owned laundry detergent, I had to support and try it. I have not used another detergent since trying this one by True Products. True Products was started in 2012 as a manufacturing and distribution company that specializes in household cleaning supplies. This company is based in Atlanta, Georgia and is veteran owned.  I love that you only need one capful for a load of laundry. Directly from the site,  True Detergent is 4x concentrated and allows consumers to use less soap. It is void of any caustic ingredients and animal essences thus making it a truly safe detergent for all types of machines and fabrics and also safe for the whole family. Powerful and economical, its concentrated nature allows users to use less soap for more cleaning power leading to tremendous savings and results. One of the things that you will notice about True Detergent is the fact that it has low

Quick Fix Daytime Makeup

As a Mom and someone who is always running late or in a rush, I don't have a lot of time to beat this face or look presentable. Sometimes I only have like 5 extra minutes to spare and came up with this makeup routine. I have tried out so many products to get this one that you will see. I wanted to gear this towards other moms and other women who don't have a lot of time in the morning for a full face but want to still look effortless walking into the office. Make sure you watch the video all the way until the end. So that is it for my makeup tutorial. What are some of your quick makeup tips? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday!! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY  HAIR DEMO/TUTORIAL?? ~**Drea Notes**~ Well, seems like the Cavs may get swept by the Warriors, we will see in Game 4. I am loving World of Dance so far this season and can't wait for Shades of Blue to come back. I'm kinda sad it is the final season cause it is such

Hair Demo Featuring Fro Butter and Miss Jessie's

Since I put myself on a makeup no buy (which I had to start over again because of Fenty Beauty lol), I have been into new hair products. I decided to do a demo on a couple new products that I picked up from Fro Butter and Miss Jessie's.  So that is it for my hair demo/tutorial on some new products. Have you tried these before? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. See you guys Friday! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY  MAY CURRENT OBSESSIONS?? ~**Drea Notes**~ My husband and I just celebrated the first year of marriage. We are excited to celebrate many more anniversaries together! What Summer shows are you watching? I'm looking for some new ones to get into to.

May Current Obsessions

I can't believe Summer is right around the corner. I am excited because we planned out Summer ahead of time this year lol. We are going to try to do something every weekend that I am not working, even if it is the beach for the day, a museum, just something so we are not sitting around doing nothing. Today I am back with my current obsessions for May. If you missed the video in March, I am changing up my favorites and you will get a video like this every other month. I almost forgot about this and thought it was for June lol.  So that is it for my current obsessions. Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you Tuesday! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY THOUGHTS ON  THE FIRST YEAR OF MARRIAGE?? ~**Drea Notes**~ I can't believe it is the Warriors and Cavs again in the NBA finals! I was rooting for the other teams but we'll see who wins this year lol.

What I Learned During The First Year of Marriage

Next Monday marks the first year of marriage. I can't believe it went by so fast, seems like I was still planning my wedding and driving myself crazy. I just can't believe it has almost been a whole year as husband and wife. I had my own ideas of what marriage would be like and was excited to step into this new journey. I have heard from others that the first year is not so easy and marriage is a lot of work.  I do have to agree that marriage is work and I feel that it is not as hard as people say. I knew my husband for years and we started off as friends first. I felt it made things easier since we already knew each other so well. I did have to get adjusted to sharing space with someone and having to make room. I have a lot of stuff as you can imagine lol. It was hard having to move stuff around but we made it work.  I feel like the first year of marriage is truly getting to know someone and setting up your game plan of how you are going to grow together and l

Mental Health Awareness Month: My Story

I think this is really the first time I'm writing about this. A lot of people don't know this about me but I am hoping this helps someone that may be going through the same thing and just afraid to open up or talk to someone about it. Most people that know me would say that I am the life of the party, funny, outgoing and just always in a good mood. There are times I am not feeling that way and times where I am putting on a front like I'm happy when inside, I'm really not. I am kind of used to putting on a facade like everything is fine. I'm not feeling it and just don't want to be around others. There are times I just want to be to myself and not want to do anything. It took a while for me to be 100% happy with myself and my life.  It started for me in elementary school. I was in this "la-la land" like everyone was nice and got along. I never understood why I was picked on and people didn't like me. It was a concept that I was never able t

First Impressions Tutorial

The weekend is almost here! It has been a week so far! I'm just ready to relax and hopefully catch up on some sleep lol! Today I am trying out some products that have been sitting around and I could not wait to try! You may want to grab a snack to watch this one(seriously, you'll need a snack, maybe a few lol) but enjoy! So that is it for my first impression on a few makeup products. Have you tried any of these products before? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. Have a great weekend and see you guys Tuesday! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY REVIEW ON  IVY TEA CO?? ~** Drea Notes**~ I can't believe June is around the corner and I'll be celebrating my 1 year wedding anniversary!  Summer will also be here soon, I'm starting to plan early so we have an exciting Summer and lots of things to do.  I wonder if my Summer shows are coming back this season, you how they always get cancelled lol!

Ivy Tea Co. Trap Tea Subscription Review

I am loving this Spring weather and glad it is finally here to stay! I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Today on the blog, I will be reviewing everything that was in my most recent Ivy Tea Co Box. You can find that unboxing  RIGHT HERE!  Let's jump into the reviews! Red Bone Hibiscus, Cranberries, Lemon Peel, Chilli Peppers and Citric Acid I have to say that this was my favorite tea in the box. It is such a different flavor that took me by surprise when I first tried it. It has just a kick of spice and it is not too much. I just love this tea! This tea helps to improve your mood and the spiciness of the chilli peppers helps to warm you up. I have to say that I noticed that I had a better mood at work after drinking this in the morning lol. Lala Salama Chamomile and Lemongrass I always love a tea that has chamomile  in it. It helps to ease your stress and relax your nerves. I would recommend drinking this tea at night after a long

What I learned from becoming a Mom

I am loving the Spring weather, I hope it stays lol. As you may know, Mother's Day is coming up and I just wanted to share what I have learned since I've become a mom. I just love this pic when he was a baby When I found out I was carrying my son, so many emotions and thoughts were running through my mind. Was I ready to be a Mom? Will I be a good Mom? How do I raise a child? I guess I wasn't able to answer those questions until my son was born. It was love at first sight and I guess the instinct would just kick in. I survived the sleepless nights(still don't know how I still functioned without sleep lol), diaper explosions, spitting up before trying to leave the house and all the fun stuff lol.  I also loved watching him discover his hands and feet, the cute laughs and giggles, when he started moving around and watching him take his first steps. I was just amazed during the first year and was looking forward to continue watching him grow and develop.

Mental Health Awareness Month

I love allergy season, says no one ever lol! I had planned on having a video up today but you guys don't want to hear me sneezing, sniffling and blowing my nose during the entire video lol! I guess with the warm weather comes the pollen and allergies lol. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and to be honest, for years I was not aware of this myself. It is important to bring awareness to mental health because you never know who may be going through it or having a tough time dealing with their health. Mental health is something that should not be taken lightly at all. If someone confides in you, please take them seriously and just be there.  I learned so much from my blogger friend Ashley who runs Don't Die Afraid. She was not afraid to share her story and journey with everyone and it was pretty inspiring. Ashley is a big advocate for mental health and it is just amazing to see the work she is doing to bring awareness. It made me more aware of it and to open up about my

Black Owned Business Feature: Isabis LLC

I wanted to start a new series on here and really thought about it. I kept going back and forth about a lot and thought about starting to highlight Black Owned Businesses every month. The beginning of the month, I will post about a Black Owned Business that I have come across and products I've tried. This month's feature is Isabis LLC. I discovered this candle company on Instagram and loved every candle that I have purchased. I love that you can customize every candle to have a positive message or saying on it and they just smell so good. Also I love the clean, sleek look of the candles so they will fit well with any decor in your home.  I have purchased the Vanilla and Lavender, Coco Mango and Egyptian Amber candles and have not been disappointed. They work well in small to medium rooms and I use two in my larger rooms. All the candles are 100% hand poured natural soy with essential oils and fragrances.  I know there are other Black Owned candle companies

Did I need to go....no but there were some things I was out of and needed. Let's see what I picked up this year! So that is it for my Sephora VIB haul. What dd you pick up during the sale? On A Personal Note...

I am so glad that the Spring weather is finally here, this extended Winter wore out their welcome lol. I can't believe that I have been married for almost a year! It seems like this time last year I was wedding planning and driving myself crazy! I will be doing a post on that later but I am looking forward to many, many more years with the husband!  It seems like a lot of lightbulbs have been going off and things are starting to click now. I feel like so many things are starting to make sense and I am starting to realize some things. I have been feeling all over the place and so lost lately and it just feels good to be finding my way. I have started to see the importance in some things and realizing what steps I need to take to make some things happen. I just had to be patient and know that I would be shown the way. It is like I am still growing and learning about life.  I am just excited about everything that will be coming up and direction that I am going in. I have been

IMATS NY Vlog

The weekend is almost here! I know that at some point, I need to take a nap during the weekend and relax lol! What are you guys doing this weekend? Today is part 2 of my IMATS post and today is the vlog. I used iMovies to edit this, I could not figure out Final Cut Pro for the life of me lol! Do any of you know how to use it?  So that is my vlog from IMATS, look out for the haul next week. I hope you guys enjoy the weekend and see you Tuesday! IMATS NY 2018

I'm pretty sure that Winter didn't get the memo that it is Spring and the weather is supposed to be warm lol. Hopefully this weather will get it together soon.  This is going to be a three part post, the vlog will be up Thursday and the haul will be up sometime next week. I haven't been to IMATS in the past couple of years but was super excited to go this year. If you don't know about IMATS, it is a huge makeup show where you can buy products from some of your favorite companies like Morphe and Kat Von D, you can catch a class and see live makeup demos. It is the perfect place if you are a makeup lover like myself. I was too busy vlogging and shopping that I didn't get too many pictures inside the venue but you will see it on the vlog. I initially did not have a list ( and I should of made one lol) but I would suggest if you do go to make a list. The companies are listed on the IMATS website so you can figure out which companies you want to visit.  I kn
