May Goal Results and June Goals

This weekend went by a little too fast for me lol!! I had fun spending time with family and friends. I was happy my son let me sleep in during the weekend lol! Well today I'm bringing you the results of the goals I set last month and my new ones for June. You can see my previous post  HERE  . Let's see how I made out this month. Finish organizing my samples and hair products Well I got all of my samples in one place. I purchased two 3 drawer storage units and stacked them together. I separated my samples by makeup, skincare, body care, fragrances, shampoo/conditioner and hair styling products. I didn't realize how many samples I actually had and need to use up! As for the hair products....yea.....I didn't get around to those just yet. They are still sitting in boxes and I'm trying to figure out where to actually put them. I'll update you guys on that soon. 30 Ab Challenge This was a big fail! I did the first week and a half and just stopped. I picked one

Happily Ever Johnson: Destination Planning

It seems like Spring can't make up its mind if it wants to stay or not. This weather has been crazy! Well in my last post I told you guys that we decided on doing a destination wedding now. At first I was so against it but now I feel like we are saving more money than having a wedding here. Since then we have been trying to get things together so our family and friends can know how much things are going to be. My aunt put us in touch with an amazing travel agent and she has been so helpful. She answered all of our questions and has been very informal about the whole process. We decided on Jamaica and have been looking at the suggested resorts and different wedding packages the resorts have. I'm getting more excited the more these plans start to fall into place. Now I'm going to start looking at wedding dresses at the end of the month and we need to get on this engagement party planning as well. I can say that wedding planning feels less stressful now (I think I will drive m

On a personal note.....

Funny thing, for the past two weeks I didn't feel like putting on makeup. As much as I love it, I just didn't feel like it. I felt like I was in a funk or something. My thoughts felt pretty clouded and like I couldn't get them together. It felt like so much was going on or I was thinking about too much at one time. Times like that make me miss yoga. I love how relaxing and refreshing it was. I was able to clear everything out of my mind and just have a clear mind, be able to see things clearly. I often go outside for a walk on my lunch to get some fresh air and help to clear all these thoughts. Sometimes I go somewhere quiet and just listen to the quietness. I love to do that, just sit and be still. It is really relaxing and helps me a lot. I'm speaking on this to say that is okay to frustrated by life sometimes. It may lead to breakthrough or new discovery. Being in this kinda funk inspired me in a way. I feel like I discovered something about myself and really learnin

Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask Review*

It seems like we are getting more April showers in May lol! Today I am bringing you another Valentia review powered by BrandBacker! *I received this product for testing purposes and this is my opinion after using. I have been loving everything that I have tried from this brands. You can see my other reviews  HERE   and  HERE!   Let's jump into the review! I always love a good clay mask and was super excited when I was chosen to be part of this campaign. As I stated previously, I have been loving this brand so far and was looking forward to trying more products. This mask helps to draw out impurities, improve skin tone, reduce pore size and firm the skin. My skin has been acting a little crazy because of this weather and this mask came in handy one night. You would just apply it to your face, leave on for 15-20 minutes and remove with a damp wash cloth. I was super impressed after using this mask. I noticed the pores around my nose went down in size and my skin felt and looked

I Need New Friends Brunch

If I told you I was extremely shy when I was younger, I don't think you would believe it but it is true. I would not just go up to people and talk to them or know how to really carry a conversation. I just liked being to myself but have come out of my shell since then. There are times where I can act a little shy but it's not as bad. I honestly didn't know how to network before or really attended a networking event in the past. I made this goal in a previous series, Resolute Beauty Blogger to get around to attending a blogging event and actually got to one. I just realized I never blogged about that event but you can read about it briefly  RIGHT HERE! When I saw this event on Instagram, I hopped right on it and knew I had to go! I'm really trying to get myself out there and gain more exposure. I also wanted to meet more people, network and really meet some new friends! I was super excited but so nervous at the same time. I was kind of forcing myself to go alone so I c
