Shopping My Beauty Samples

Happy Tuesday!! Here is another post from the Shopping My Beauty Samples series. Let's get into the reviews!

Lulu Blossom Dreamsicle Body Balm

Box it came from: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 10.00
Review: This balm makes me hungry every time I open it. It smells just like an orange dreamsicle popsicle or orange cream soda. This product is a multi-purpose one but I mainly have been using this to moisture my cuticles. I love the smooth and creamy consistency of this and how it keeps my cuticles moisturized. I keep this in my purse and during the day I will pull it out and use it. This can also be used on those dry areas such as your elbows or knees and can also be used as a hair balm to tame fly aways. I really love this product and think I would repurchase again. Here is what the balm looks like.

Laqa & Co Lil Lip in Pinkman

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 2 Minis for 16
Review: I love when I get new lip products in any box. I love trying new beauty products that I have never heard of. This little lip pencil is so cute and great to keep in your makeup bag. I love this pink, magenta color and it is so pigmented. It has a pretty good wear time but felt a little dry on my lips at some point during the day. Other than that, I really liked this lip pencil and may purchase more sometime. Here is the swatch of it.

Nugg Face Mask in Revitalizing

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Full Size
Price Point: 2.99
Review: As you should know by know, I love trying new skincare products. I really loved using this mask. I got about three uses out of it which was surprising. You would wash your face first then apply a layer all over and leave it for 10-15 minutes then rinse off. I loved the creamy texture of this mask and how it didn't feel tight at all. It went clear but looks like this inside.

I loved how my skin looked brighter and refreshed after using it. Nugg has different masks for different skin care concerns that I am interested in trying out. I would purchase these again.

Real Chemistry 3 Minute Peel

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 48.00
Review: I thought this was going to be one of those mask that you apply to your face and then you peel it off after it dries. This one was very different to use and I enjoyed using it. You would apply a thin layer all over your face, wait 20-30 seconds and then massage it into your skin for the next 2-3 minutes and rinse off. I liked that the mask was beading up as you were massaging it on your face and it felt smooth. My skin looked really nice and had a nice glow to it. I'm not sure I can bring myself to pay for a full size but I did like this facial product.

Dr. Brandt Pore No More Pore Refiner Primer

Box it came from: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 45.00
Review: I was excited when I saw this primer because I have read so many great reviews about it. The texture of this reminds me a little bit of Benefit's The Porefessional but it has a silky texture. This primer was pretty amazing. It hid my pores and gave my foundation a flawless look. This is also great for those who get oily in the T-Zone, I didn't have to use any of my oil blotting papers that day. I was pretty impressed. I'm not sure if I could bring myself to pay full price but I think it could be worth purchasing in the future.

Marcelle 8-in-1 Power Serum

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 34.00
Review: I'm trying to incorporate serums into my skincare routine but I'm still trying to see if I really need to use one. I have a lot of serums that I have gotten in my beauty boxes that are just sitting there and waiting to be used. I think this one is okay, it hasn't broken my face out. It goes on smooth and doesn't make my face get any oiler. I don't know if I would repurchase this but I've read that it's a pretty good serum. I'll keep giving it a try.

Givescent Signature Perfume

Box it came from: Birchbox
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 48.00
Review: You guys know I love my perfume samples that I receive. This perfume right here has become a new favorite. This has notes of citrus, spicy vanilla and sweet alomond oil and it just smells so good. It is a subtle scent which is great for everyday wear. I have just been loving this perfume. I think I will invest in the full size, I think this is great year round scent.

So that is it for Shopping My Beauty Samples. Have you tried any of these products before? What were your thoughts? Comment below and let me know. See everyone Friday!! Hope you enjoy the rest of the week!!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over ...

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-...

Taking a break.......

On Tuesday I did mention that I had some exciting news to share. I have been working part time for a while and searching like crazy for full time work. I was starting to get a little frustrated but never gave up. Well a full time opportunity came up at my current job and I am now full time status!!! I was just so overjoyed and thankful. I will have a more stable income, I can go back to school and start to make some moves. Then I started to get a little overwhelmed. How was I going to juggle being a full-time working mom, grad student, blogger and balance everything else. It has been a while since I had a full time schedule and based my blogging schedule around my days off during the week. I start my full time hours next week and just need to take a small break away from Naturalle Drea. I really didn't want to because I love this so much but I need to see how to handle everything. I will most likely change my blogging schedule around. Thank you to those who have been encouraging to...
