Happily Ever Johnson: Updates

It has been so cold and windy lately, I'm not ready for winter lol. Well, I know I haven't updated you guys on the wedding planning lately and I wanted to have things in place before making any announcements or updates. We have decided to change venues and the wedding back to the states. It was somewhat of a mad rush to book a space. I got a little frustrated at some point because the plans were changing and I was worried about everything and if plans were going to stay concrete. I can breathe now because we officially have a venue! I felt like I was starting all over again with making appointments to visit venues, doing walk through, asking all those questions again and breaking down each price to make sure we were getting the best value and won't spend outside our budget. Our original date was not available anymore so we are now getting married in June of 2017. It was good that we have a later date so we have some more time to plan. So now it is back to deciding on center pieces, favors, escort cards, decor and so much more. The dress that I was going to purchase was not going to fit this new venue and kind of glad I didn't commit to it at the time. I started looking at dresses that I've tried on before and went out myself to try on some dresses. It was actually nice because I was able to look at the dresses and hear my opinion on them in way. And I can say that I will be saying yes to a dress! When I saw myself in the dress, I saw myself getting married in it. It was everything I was looking for and I didn't want to take it off lol! Of course you guys won't see it until the big day but I love it! I have the bridesmaid dresses picked out and the groomsmen tuxes as well. We also figured out what the groom was wearing as well! It seems like things are starting to really come together now and I'm getting excited! I am now trying to get the guest list together, collect correct addresses, figure out seating charts, invitations and so on. We also need a new hashtag for the wedding and I can't think of one lol I'm hoping I don't drive myself too crazy but glad I have the help of family and friends. I have been on Pinterest like crazy looking for ideas and have been finding some really great stuff. I just want this vision for our wedding to come together and we remember our special day forever.

See you guys Thursday!

  2. Just take a breathe and all will workout. It sounds like you have loads going on, but at least the later date is better for you. I used to help planning wedding events so I know it's a lot of work. <3

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
