Happily Ever Johnson: Changing Plans

Happy Tuesday!! I am loving this beautiful weather and hope it stays for a while. I know in my last post I was feeling pretty overwhelmed and getting a little stressed out. I figured planning your own wedding would be stressful but not this stressful!! Well after talking and a few discussions, we have decided to change this to a destination wedding!! My fiance suggested this when we first got engaged but I really didn't hear him. I just kinda envisioned what I always dreamed of and ran with it. I didn't realize how expensive a wedding would be and I just shut out his opinion in a way. I kept saying "Oh, this is our day, not just mine" but I was acting like it was mine. I had to realize how much we would be saving with a destination wedding and how much stress that would take off of us and myself. It really pays to open your mind to others and really listen to people. I just never thought of having a destination wedding but the more I learn about it and research, the more I'm loving the idea. I have only been to the Bahamas and the thought of getting married on the beach or in a tropical location is an amazing idea. I'm thankful to those who have given me advice and shared their own experiences with having a destination wedding. My aunt and uncle had a destination vow renewal and she is helping me with this process. I'm still growing and learning and I know that I need to work on listening to others and not just sticking to what I want. I just got super excited and my eyes grew bigger than my pockets. We have so many other things to consider besides this wedding. I'll admit that I'm kinda sad about giving up the venue we picked but I believe this will be an experience we won't forget. So now I'll be taking you along as we plan this destination wedding. This will be pretty interesting. Now I need to start dress shopping because I know that will be process for me lol! Did you have a destination wedding? Have you attended one? What was your experience? Comment below and let me know. See you guys Thursday!!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
