Thursday Reviews: Liquid Lipstick Battle

Happy Thursday!! I'm so happy that the weekend is almost here! If you haven't heard about the craze about liquid lipsticks, you must be living under a rock. It seems like every makeup company has their own version of this very popular product. It is so hard not wanting to pick up every single one! I have a few that I have been trying out and reviewing. I couldn't find most of pictures of me wearing some of them but have a few. Let's get into the reviews!

Lime Crime Velvetine in Wicked

I know there is a lot of controversy with this company but I still wanted to review this product. I picked this up last year at IMATS and boy was that line ridiculous!! My friends actually stood in line and we just gave them money while we walked around and got stuff for them. I heard so many good things about this liquid lipstick and just had to try it. I fell in love the first time I wore this. These velvetines are so pigmented and not drying at all. I didn't have to touch up at all and it stayed pigmented the whole day. I really love this lipstick and may repurchase again. The velvetines are 20.00 on the Lime Crime site. Here is a swatch of Wicked.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Berry

I heard so many mixed reviews on this product. I really debated for a while on purchasing until I received a giftcard to Sephora for Christmas and made the purchase. This color is so gorgeous and the melted lipsticks are super pigmented. They are long wearing but I found this to feel very drying after a while. I have to wear this with a gloss so it doesn't feel so dry. I'm not sure if I would repurchase this again but the colors are so pretty. These melted lipsticks are 21.00 on the site and can be found in Sephora and Ulta. Here is a swatch and a pic of me wearing Melted Berry.

L.A. Girl Cosmetics Glazed Lip Paint in Coy and Blushing

There was a lot of talk that these lip paints were dupes to some of the liquid lipsticks out there. I had to give them a try and surprisingly found at Five Below for 3.00 each. These lip paints are pretty pigmented and I love the minty scent they have. I was a little disappointed in the wear time. They don't last all day and you have to reapply a couple times during the day. I wouldn't really call these a dupe to any of the other ones but they are still a great product. I would recommend these for anyone on a budget. Here are swatches of both colors.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Berlin

There was such a huge buzz about these liquid lipsticks. They are so popular and and I've heard nothing but great reviews on them. I got this sample one along with the Studded Kiss Lipstick in a sample pack pack at Sephora during the holiday season. I see why everyone loves these so much. They are so pigmented, long wearing and not drying at all. All the colors are so pretty, I just want to buy them all lol! These are 20.00 on the website or Sephora. Here is a swatch.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks in Berry Me and Limited Edition Black Rose

I had the chance to pick these up at IMATS this year and have been loving them ever since!! Everyone and their mother were raving about them! These are super pigmented and very long wearing. I love how they do not feel drying at all and just amazing. The only thing about them is that they do transfer a bit but do not lose the pigmentation at all. They are 18.00 each on the Dose of Colors site. Here are the swatches and pics of me wearing each one!

  1. I love the Too Faced Melted and the KVD ones. I didn't like how drying the Dose of Color Liquid Lipstick was and the Lime Crimes look nice but i won't purchase from them. I just tried the ColourPop ones and they are pretty good. I didn't like the lighter colors that I got though..but I loved the darker ones.

    1. I've heard a lot about the new Colourpop ones, I may try them out. It just seems like every company has them and its hard to choose which ones you want lol! The Dose of Colors did get a little dry but nothing some lip balm can't fix. Thanks for stopping by Tanya!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
