Shopping My Beauty Samples

Hey guys! Its been a while since I have done a post in this series. I was waiting to use enough samples to make a post.

Willa On The Go Towelettes

Box it came from: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 10.00
Review: I loved the scent of these towelettes but did not like them at all. They were easy to use and seemed to get the job done but after I used one, I started to feel this burning sensation on my face. It was not pleasant at all and it broke my face out a little. They immediately went in the trash after that and I would not repurchase these.

Skyn Blue Clay Mask

Box it came from: Ipsy
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: Box of 6 Mask for 39.00
Review: I was so interested in trying out this mask. I have tried previous facial products by this brand and loved them. This was a very easy mask to use, you applied Step 1 on your face first and when it started to foam up you would apply the other step until they were well blended. I was expecting it to be blue but it wasn't at all, just a white color. The mask did not harden at all and my skin looked so amazing after using this mask. I would repurchase but I think there should be more mask in a box for that price. Here is what the mask looked like on my face lol!

Youngblood Anti Shine Mattifier

Box it came from: Beauty Army
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 36.00
Review: This sample was sitting in my drawer for a while because I didn't think I needed to use this at all. Well with the warmer weather here, my T-Zone gets more oily than usual so I decided to give this a try. I was expecting a powder but when I opened it, this is what the product looked like.

I was surprised and thought it would make my skin more oily but it did not. You just apply to the oily areas and the oil was gone!! I was so happy with this product until it started to break me out! I was so sad because this really worked and was going to purchase the full size. Hopefully I will come across something soon like this.

Amlactin Moisturizing Body Lotion

Box it came from: Beauty Army
Full Size or Sample Size: Sample Size
Price Point: 16.99
Review: It is sometimes a love/hate relationship with body lotions. Some of them work great and some leave my skin looking for more moisture. I love this body lotion. It really moisturized my skin and kept it soft all day. It wasn't too thick and really sank into the skin very well. I love the nice, clean scent of this lotion and I just loved using it. I have another sample size bottle of this and will be purchasing the full size soon.

So that is it for this post. Once I use some more samples, I will have another post from this series soon.

  3. The Skyn mask sounds interesting...especially that it foams. My T-zone also gets really shiny this time of year, so this Mattifier sounded really good until I read that one broke you out, I will stick with my blotting papers.

    Nice reviews!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
