Brown Box Hair Product Reviews

Hey guys! Happy Friday!! I'm back with another post in this series since I washed my hair on Tuesday.

Luscious Locks Shea Butter Shampoo

I previously tried the Deep Conditioner from this line and loved it!! I was expecting this shampoo to be creamy because it contains Shea butter but it was a liquid consistency. It kind of threw me off when I poured some into my hand but I continued on with washing my hair. It also didn't smell too much like Shea Butter like I thought it would but it was a pleasant scent. You didn't need a lot to wash with and it really left my hair feeling very soft. I enjoyed using it and may repurchase sometime in the future. This is the full size bottle and its runs 10.00. It can be found on Luscious Locks website.

UR Curly Quinoa Conditioner

I found this to be very interesting because it contains quinoa protein. I used this as my conditioner and deep conditioner after shampooing my hair. I loved the silky, thick texture of this and it made it so easy to finger detangle my hair. It smelled like medicated mint which was interesting but it wasn't too strong. I felt a tingling, cooling sensation on my scalp which was pretty relaxing. The instructions said to leave on for 3-5 minutes but I put on a plastic cap to trap in the natural heat and left it on for 15 minutes. My hair felt super soft and moisturized, I loved using this!! I would repurchase this conditioner. This was a sample size of the conditioner and you can get either the 8oz bottle for 8.99 or 25 oz for 19.99 on the company website or in your local beauty supply store.

Hydratherma Naturals Protein Balance Leave-In Conditioner

I use this before styling my hair and I thought this was okay. It smells like marshmallows to me and it was too much of a silky consistency for me. As you have read in previous post, I like my leave-ins to be pretty thick. I would probably give this a try again sometime and may have different thoughts on it. This is the sample size and you can find the full size for 15.99 at select beauty supply stores or online.

Shine 'N Jam Silk Edges with Olive Oil

This heat is not being so good to my hair. My ends were feeling a bit dry so I did a protective style on my hair so my ends would not be out. I use this to help slick back my edges and keep my hair in place. I really liked using this. It helped keep my hair in place, it has not flaked at all and was very easy to use. I would most likely purchase this but I have been wanting to try Curls Control Paste for a while but haven't gotten around to purchasing it yet. This is another sample and the full size is about 5.99 and can be found in your local drugstores or beauty supply. If you follow me on Instagram, I posted this picture on Tuesday of my protective style and I love it. Let me know if you would like to see a tutorial on it.

So that is it for this post. What products are you interesting in? Have you tried any of these products? Comment below and let me know!!

    1. There are sooo many leave-in conditioners out there!! Its been a trial and error for me finding one that works. The current one that I'm using now is pretty good, I did post about it under new hair products. Hope you find one that works and thanks for stopping by Tanya!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
