My Foundation Collection

January is all about makeup, all the makeup that I currently own!! I am starting with my foundations that I own. I always thought it was so hard to match my complexion because I have a yellow undertone. When I was on the search for foundation, I ran into ones that made me look too yellow, too dark, my skin looked ashy but I finally found a few that I just love so much!!

Liquid Foundation- MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC50

This is actually the only liquid foundation I own surprisingly! I really want to branch out and try drugstore and other high end ones but MAC matches my complexion perfectly! I love the coverage it gives and how flawless my skin looks!

Powder Foundations- MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark and Makeup Forever Pro Finish in Neutral Caramel

Now the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish is actually for setting your makeup(Well I've seen a lot of MUA on YouTube use it for that purpose) but I use it as a powder foundation. It gives a light coverage and just looks amazing on my skin. I will actually try to set my makeup with this sometime but I love it as a foundation.

I was in Sephora looking around and I was always curious about Makeup Forever. I didn't think that I was a match for any of the foundations but boy was I wrong. I love this powder, it gives me full coverage and to me it has a bit of a matte finish. My T-Zone doesn't get oily at all and I think I want to try out the liquid foundation next by Makeup Forever.

BB Cream- Maybelline Dream Fresh in Deep

Funny thing about this BB Cream is that I first tried it the shade below this one and it was too light. I honestly thought this one was going to be too dark but it was perfect! This is my everyday foundation! I love that it hide my imperfections and gives my face a nice glowing, healthy look! I'm so glad I finally found a BB Cream that matches my skin and looks amazing!

Tinted Moisturizer- Stila Sheer Color in Deep

Now before I found my BB Cream, I was hearing all about tinted moisturizers during the summer. I looked around for a while and came across this one by Stila at Sephora. I instantly fell in love and used this all summer. It looked really great when I paired it with bronzer for that summertime glow effect. I also love that it has SPF in it so it was perfect for the summer.

What are your favorite foundations? What are your recommendations for liquid foundations for me to try? Let me know!

  1. I wish I could wear MAC liquid foundations. They break me out. Love some Mineralized Skin finish! I don't wear a full face of makeup without it. Great product. I wanna try that BB cream. I've seen quite few bloggers mention this quite a bit. Thanks for sharing

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
