Beauty Crown Awards~ Week 4~ Eyes & Misc Products

The Beauty Crown Awards are a yearly favorites collaborative effort including beauty bloggers around the globe. The Beauty Crown Awards were created by Lily from Beauty with Lily Liz from My Pretty Obsessions, Jackie from Five Two Certified, and Shalunya from Shalunya & Boyet. We felt that a collaborative effort from a large number of beauty bloggers would be much more interesting to our readers and would garner more attention. The Beauty Crown Awards are a 5 week event with each week covering types of products.

Week 1 - Personal Care Products - Dec 2 - Dec 8, 2013
Week 2 - Facial Products - Dec 9 - Dec 15, 2013
Week 3 - Lip & Nail Products - Dec 16 - Dec 22, 2013
Week 4 - Eye & Misc Products - Dec 23 - Dec 29, 2013
Week 5 - Facial Care Products & Tools - Dec 30 - Jan 4, 2014

Week 4 of the Beauty Crown Awards covers Eye & Misc Products. Below are my Week 4 selections:

EYES
Primer- MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork
I've seen a lot of makeup artists on You Tube using the paint pot as an eyeshadow base and I love it. My shadow stays put and it doesn't crease at all. This also doubles as a neutral shadow for me.

Pressed Shadows- MAC
This is just a fraction of the Mac eyeshadows I own, lol! I just love them so much! It sometimes gets overwhelming when I'm looking for a new color because they have so many pretty colors to choose from!

Pigments- MAC Pressed Pigment in Blonde Streak
This pigment is so pretty! I just love how it looks and how you can wear very lightly or pack it on heavy for extra shimmer!(Guess you can tell I love MAC, lol!)

Mascara- Tarte Lights Camera Lashes
This is the best mascara I have ever tried!! I just fell in love the first time I tried and haven't stopped using it since! I just love how full, long and just how amazing my lashes look. Sometimes I don't even have to wear false lashes because they look so good!

Eyeliner-Wet and Wild Cream Liner
This is my new favorite go to eyeliner. I just love how easy it is to apply and how dark it is. It stays on all day and doesn't smudge at all.

Cream Shadows- I don't own any cream shadows but welcome to suggestions on some good ones to try!!

Palette- BH Cosmetics
I have 3 of these pallets and I just love all the colors! There are so many colors to create endless looks with. Plus they are so pigmented, bright and just look so good!

Brow Kit- MAC Spiked Pencil and NYX Brow Kit
I normally just use Spiked pencil for my brows but I recently picked up this NYX Brow Kit and I love it. My brows look very natural and full when I use these two products together.

MISC
Beauty Magazine- Essence
Just love all the beauty and hair products they recommend to try out, tips from makeup artists and hairstylist and just anything that is in the magazine!

Beauty Subscription- Birchbox
I just love this box. I love the variety of products that I get to try every month. I get to try everything from facial care, perfume, makeup and I love when they throw treats in the box too, lol! I don't mind the sample size products because I like to try things out to see if I will like it before I purchase!

Beauty Product from Subscription- Essie Carry On
This was my first Essie polish that I got in a special Goop Birchbox sometime last year I think. I was so happy because I've been debating on spending the money to try Essie out and I got in my Birchbox! I love the Raisin color, its perfect for fall.

  1. Essie Carry On is a gorgeous color! I love MAC shadows too. I own plenty! But I don't own any BH palettes! I hear good things but I've just never taken the plunge. I haven't tried the WnW cream liner either, I should definitely try it! Great picks! Thanks so much for sharing.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Lucy! I was hearing so many things about Tarte mascara and it was on sale during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty and I just love it so much! That liner is the only thing that I have from the Fergie collection but I would like to try out more.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
