A Special Birthday Wish....

Six years ago, we were blessed with a little bundle of joy and it was instant love at first sight. I can't get over that my son is now 6 years old. It is crazy how fast 6 years went by. It seemed like yesterday we were just staring at him, watching him sleep and wondering what we do now with a newborn. I'm just glad I know what sleep is again because those first few months were a struggle lol. He started to become mobile and it was amazing to watch him take his first couple steps and then he was off walking and running around. It is just amazing that I helped create this little life that now has such personality and such an intelligent boy. It just amazes me that he is now reading and spelling everything in sight and is just a joy to have. Yes we have our not listening moments but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Happy 6th Birthday Kellen! I wish for many more years of birthdays, love and life. I wish for you to continue to grow, continue to learn, continue on the right path that has been set for you and continue to be good. I wish for you to not to fear this world, to never give up and keep pushing towards anything you set your mind to. Mommy and Daddy are always in your corner no matter what you do and always here to support you.

Taking a break.......

On Tuesday I did mention that I had some exciting news to share. I have been working part time for a while and searching like crazy for full time work. I was starting to get a little frustrated but never gave up. Well a full time opportunity came up at my current job and I am now full time status!!! I was just so overjoyed and thankful. I will have a more stable income, I can go back to school and start to make some moves. Then I started to get a little overwhelmed. How was I going to juggle being a full-time working mom, grad student, blogger and balance everything else. It has been a while since I had a full time schedule and based my blogging schedule around my days off during the week. Make Beauty Review*

Happy Friday beauty lovers! I hope you have been enjoying Winter again lol! I hope Mother Nature gets it together soon lol. Today I am bringing you another review powered by BrandBacker! *I was sent these products for testing purposes and this is my opinion after using. Let's get into the reviews! *Powered By BrandBacker* I was pretty excited when I was picked for this campaign. I have tried a Make Beauty eyeshadow before and loved it. Honestly, I was expecting the samples to be a little bigger. I was a little disappointed in the lipstick sample, it was hard to use. It kept breaking when I was trying to apply it. Make Beauty is a very new company to me that I was introduced to through Birchbox.  They have just about everything from eyeshadows to contour kits. They also have a line for skincare as well. No Buy is Officially Over!!

Yay!! I survived 2 months without a single makeup purchase!! I am so proud of myself and knew I had the will power to do it!! It really helped me staying out of Sephora, Ulta and Mac, the usual places that get me in trouble lol! When I went into Target or Walmart, I wouldn't even go near the makeup section. Funny thing is, I haven't run to the store yet to purchase anything on my wish list yet but I will soon. You can see what is on my wish list here.  After organizing my makeup, I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use and need to try out soon. I'm going to try to really shop my stash before running out and buying something new. Maybe next time, I will go for a 3 month no buy!! Have you successfully completed a no buy?
