What About Your Friends??

I had another post scheduled for today but this was on my heart to write about. I was kinda inspired over the past couple of months with this and also after seeing Girl's Trip (which was really amazing by the way, go see it). Next to my relationship with my family, I cherish my friendships. Those are the people who know you best, won't steer you wrong, there to listen to you, give advice when you ask for it or not, the people who you can call up and have a great time with no matter what you are doing and those who push you to do and be better. In return you do the same for them. I've have some friendships come to an end in the past and have out grown some friends but I've been wondering how I can be a better friend or how we all can be better friends. I'll admit to not keep in touch with everyone all the time but it is good to check in on some of your friends, you never know what they may be going through. I am one to put on that facade and act like everything is peachy when I'm really not okay. I am one to hold things and not want to say anything but it is not good to do that. Your friends are there to help you. There were some friends that I did not know were going through certain stuff and I want to do a better job at reaching out more often, getting together more often and actually taking action on those plans instead of just talking about them. I have been really inspired by a lot of things lately and just want to do better in all areas of my life. I plan on getting out there more and networking with other influencers and bloggers, making those connections and relationships. I love the connections I have with other bloggers from previous events I have attended. I want to keep this positive vibe I have going and just keep making improvements. It is always good to make improvements, you only get better.

  1. Loved reading this post Drea! You know I'm somewhat like that myself, I put up facade like everything is fine when it's not. I think that's part of being human. I used to hear so many people say that you'll see who you're real friends are as you age. That's true, some friends you outgrow, and that's okay too. I keep my circle of friends pretty small, but nonetheless I'm glad and grateful for those I can truly call my friend. Wonderful post and insight!

    1. Thank you Pilar. It is important to keep those friends around that are in your best interest and you can truly call a friend.

  2. This is so true. Your girlfriends are SO IMPORTANT! I have drifted alot from mine for one reason or another such as people moving or having kids (which I don't). I do think its so important to stay in touch and be there for one another. Sometimes I feel like I keep more in touch with my blogger friends than my non blogger ones.

    1. It sometimes seems like your blogger friends understand you a little more but it is good to have that diverse group of friends. Thanks for reading Tanya!

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
