Happily Ever Johnson: Wedding Day Hair

We are really getting down to the wire here!! It is starting to get a little stressful with the little details and making sure we have everything. I just can't wait until the big day! Everyone has been asking me what I plan on doing with my hair for the wedding. I knew I was not going to straighten it and was going to base my hair style from what my dress looked like. I also plan on doing my hair myself! Yes I know I could go to a salon and have it done professionally but I do my own hair anyway and have been really excited to try different styles. I know that I wanted some kind of updo and something that will go with the veil I am wearing. I tried out 3 different styles over the past couple of weeks.  This post is picture heavy so you may want to grab a snack.

Hair Trial #1

For this style I was thinking on having big, curly hair in the front and the rest of my hair twisted. I had a time at first trying to figure out how to part my hair and how big to make the twist.

I also remixed this first style because the crazy weather destroyed the front of my hair and I retwisted the front of my hair and swooped it to the side. This is how I wore my hair for the bridal shower.

Hair Trial #2

For this style, I did the flat twist in the back again and did individual twist in the front. I figured that I had to part the twist in the back different and make them a little smaller than before. I couldn't decide how I wanted the front to look so I styled it three different ways.

Hair Trial #3

This style I wanted to try something a little different. I added hair to this style and honestly didn't know where I was going with this one. I just kind of did it and liked how it turned out. I am currently over all these bobby pins in my hair lol!!

I may try one more style before deciding on which one. The first two hairstyles took me about an hour to do and the last one took an hour and a half. I have been having so much fun with this and can't wait to show you guys which one I choose for the big day. Which style did you like the most? Comment below and let me know. Enjoy the rest of the week and see you guys Thursday!

  3. I like the first one with the twisted front as well, the side swept style frames your face beautifully and with the veil on top, I think it would look great and will stay put all day til night hehehe! Thanks for sharing this, can't wait to see more!

  4. You rock them all, but I especially like the very last style. You'll be a beautiful bride no matter how you wear your hair.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

My Blogging and Personal Goals

Hey guys! Lately things have been crazy and hectic and just too crazy. I've been driving myself crazy thinking about too much and stressing out. So I was at work one day and this post popped in my head. I'm setting personal and blogging goals for myself to bring some order to my life and will be doing updates every month for the next 6 months to a year. Let's start with my blogging goals. Set a Blogging Schedule I blog whenever I have a day off or free time and it's always on different days. I want to set a schedule so I can be more prepared and not get behind on posting. I know that life happens and you can't help that sometimes but I feel if I want to be successful at this, I need to be a little more organized. Change Up the Style My blog is still going through changes and will be complete sometime soon. I also want to change the style of my blog a little bit. I've been doing some research and hopefully these are good changes!! Learn More about Blogg

Naturalle Drea Is.....

I have been back and forth about this for a while. The end goal of this blog and my brand that I'm trying to build is success. I have been just trying to figure out my next moves and what steps to take next. This particular move scared me a bit but I feel like I need to take that step out of faith and fully jump into this. You know the saying, if your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough.  Starting August 2nd, Naturalle Drea is will be moving to Word Press and officially naturalledrea.com! I am excited for this move and so thankful for those who started this journey here with me! I started this platform as outlet for myself to talk about the things I love and I have grown and learned so much from when I started over 4 years ago. I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first started but I fell in love with writing and creating content. I never thought I would start a Youtube channel either and I love creating videos (except for editing late at nig
