Thursday Reviews: Setting Powders

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that September is here?? That means it's time for football, pumpkins, Fall makeup and fashion!! Today's review is going to be on a couple setting powders that I have been trying out. I never used to set my under eye concealer and with this craze of setting powders and highlighting, I couldn't resist!! Let's get into the reviews!

Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana

This is the most talked about setting powder! I have heard everyone and their mother talking about this! This was one of the first setting powders that I purchased. I got this the first year I went to The Makeup Show Holiday Pop Up. Funny thing is, this sat for a while before I picked it up and used it. I was a little afraid of using it and thought it was going to be too bright for me. I actually really liked this. I'm still getting used to the whole highlighted look but this is pretty good one. You just have to be careful of how much you use or it can be too bright.

Makeup Forever Micro HD Powder

I got this setting powder from Sephora after racking up 100 points. This was the first translucent powder I've tried out. This little jar has a lot of product and will last me for a while. This is my second favorite setting powder. I really like how subtle the highlight was and how well it set my concealer. I would most likely purchase the full size.

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

This is my favorite setting powder that I've tried out so far. This has to be the second most talked about powder. I love how flawless and highlighted my under eye area looks and how my concealer doesn't crease at all. This setting powder is just amazing!!

I would like to try the Sasha Buttercup powder sometime soon because it is another one that is highly raved about.

So that is it for the review on setting powders. What is your favorite one? Have you tried any of the ones mentioned? Comment below and let me know. Hope you enjoy the holiday weekend and see you guys Sunday.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

On a personal note....Update on Blogging and Personal Goals

Happy Football Sunday!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!! I can't believe it is this week! I can't wait to spend time with family! I thought about giving an update to the personal and blogging goals I set for myself last year with the Resolute Beauty Blogger series. You can check out my results post  HERE!!  I completed this in May of this year so let's see how I've been doing since then. Blogging Goals 1. Attend A Blogging Event- Since then I have not attended another event. I was so happy when I did find my one event to attend. I have been keeping in contact with those bloggers I met and reading their blogs. I have been finding events but there are scheduling conflicts. I hope to find another one very soon. 2. Set A Blogging Schedule- I am still sticking to my Sunday, Thursday and every other Friday schedule. It has been really working with my hectic schedule I already have. 3. Change Up Current Style-

Fall Fashion Trends 2017

I keep saying it but I'm going to speak it into existence, I'm going to New York Fashion Week one of these days. It has always been a dream of mine to go and I always miss when it is or have a conflicting schedule but I'm determined to get there. Speaking of fashion, I wanted to share some of my favorites Fall Fashions trends I've seen floating around.  Plaid Image taken from the web I feel like plaid is one of those classic patterns that is always in style. It may not be in the forefront but you always see it. I love plaid, I don't wear it often but I just love how you can dress it up or down, be casual or dressy with it. I would normally wear a plaid button up shirt but would like to venture into different pieces. Sleepwear  When I first saw people doing this, I wasn't a fan but the more I saw different versions, I started to like it. I like this trend when it is done right. I feel like this can be worn on a night out, something you
