I'm all about DIY projects and homemade things. I love the fact that I can use things from my kitchen to make an amazing body scrub, facial mask and cleanser. I was searching the Internet the other day looking at different recipes for body scrubs and came across so many, too many to choose from. I decided to give this one a try. My previous body scrub had Olive Oil, White and Brown Sugar. This time I used Coconut Oil, Brown Sugar, Almond Oil and Vanilla Extract. Now I didn't follow the exact instructions, I just made enough to fill my container. I filled the container in the picture about 1/4 of it with Brown Sugar, added about there squeezes of Almond Oil, about 5-6 scoops of Coconut Oil and a tiny but of Vanilla. I mixed everything together and store it in my bathroom.
I have used it twice so far and it is so amazing. I don't have to use lotion afterwards, my skin feels so soft and moisturized all day and it's not rough or harsh at all. I really, recommend trying this out or let my know what body scrubs you guys use so I can them out and review them!!
On Tuesday I did mention that I had some exciting news to share. I have been working part time for a while and searching like crazy for full time work. I was starting to get a little frustrated but never gave up. Well a full time opportunity came up at my current job and I am now full time status!!! I was just so overjoyed and thankful. I will have a more stable income, I can go back to school and start to make some moves. Then I started to get a little overwhelmed. How was I going to juggle being a full-time working mom, grad student, blogger and balance everything else. It has been a while since I had a full time schedule and based my blogging schedule around my days off during the week. I start my full time hours next week and just need to take a small break away from Naturalle Drea. I really didn't want to because I love this so much but I need to see how to handle everything. I will most likely change my blogging schedule around. Thank you to those who have been encouraging to...
I love seeing coconut oil because I often use it in the recipes found in my own books (http://www.fashionablypetite.com/2013/10/diy-skincare-with-indie-lee-beautylish.html?showComment=1384926703403#c760501771655450258). I love coconut oil because it can be mixed with other oils as protective additive to serums.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love using coconut oil to remove my makeup, in my hair and on my skin! I will definetely check out your books.
