Review on Smashbox Full Exposure Palette and Try It Kit

Hey guys!! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I'm going to be reviewing a few Smashbox products in this post. I have purchased these products on my own or won them and this review is based on my opinion from using these beauty products. This post is very picture heavy, so let's get into the reviews!!

Full Exposure Palette

I won this pallet through Birchbox and Birchbloggers. They teamed up with Smashbox and had a Twitter chat on Shape Matters. It was discussing different eye shapes and how you would maximize your look and how to apply shadow. I was so happy to be one the lucky winner of this pallet because I have been eyeing it for a while. This retails for $49 and is so worth it. It comes with 7 shimmer shadows and 7 matte shadows which makes creating different looks endless.

It also came with a double sided brush that I haven't used yet and a sample of the Full Exposure mascara that I will talk about later. These shadows are so pigmented and so pretty!! I used this palette all last month and it instantly became a favorite. This palette is great for everyday work looks, a night out on the town or just running some errands. Here are the swatches of the shadows,

The Shimmers

The Matte

I would highly recommend this palette to anyone who loves neutral shades and loves creating different eye looks.

Try It Kit

I got this kit back in December at The Holiday Pop Up Makeup Show in New York. Smashbox had a table there and I didn't know too much about the company then and thought this kit would be a great place to start. It has everything that I would use on a daily basis, eyeshadow primer, foundation primer, eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss.

Photo Finish Primer

I thought this primer was okay. It really doesn't cover my pores that I have but it does photograph well. It doesn't make my skin any oilier and my foundation stayed on all day. It was a gel like consistency that was easy to blend and wasn't sticky at all. I will continue to use this when my favorite favorite primers run out but not too sure if I would repurchase.

Photo Finish Lid Primer

I was a bit disappointed in this lid primer. I liked the creamy texture of it and how well it blended but it did crease a bit on my lids. When I paired it with my Mac Paint Pot, it didn't crease too much. I don't think I would repurchase this one again.

Limitless Crayon Eye Liner in Onyx

This was another product I was pretty disappointed in also. I loved the crayon liner and how smooth it went on but it would fade during the day. It looked very intense when I applied it but it didn't stay that way. I'm not sure about a repurchase on this one.

Lip Enhancing Gloss in Illume

I did enjoy using this gloss. It is very sheer and you can wear it alone or put on top of another gloss or lipstick. It was not sticky at all and was pretty moisturizing. I would be interested in try more lip products from Smashbox.

Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black

I loved using this mascara. It has become a new favorite and I have a lot of favorite mascaras! It gives my lashes great length and some volume. It just really enhanced my natural lashes. I have two samples of this mascara and will be repurchasing the full size.

That is it on my Smashbox reviews. What have you tried from Smashbox? Do you have any favorites? Comment below and let me know!!

  4. That palette is great for everyday use! I also won the palette from Smashbox and will post my review later on. I have been using the 24HR Eye primer and I like it. The mascara sample I got dried out on me but I did have read so many good reviews on it.

Sometimes its hard.....

You know when you keep thinking of something and you just feel like you have to get it out? That was me before sitting down to write this post. I had something else planned to write but I kept thinking...sometimes its hard and it just evolved from there. We all heard the sayings, life isn't fair, life is hard and so on. Sometimes life can be hard but we don't experience it for long. There are so many things that I want to do but I know I can't do a million things at once. I can't just pick and go anymore, I'm someone's parent now. There are times I want to but I know things have to be planned out now. I will get to those place I want to go, just have to be patient and plan it out. It seems like we focus so much on what is hard about life that we forget about the easy stuff. We forget sometimes about all the good things that happen and to be grateful for getting through those rough patches. You may not like your living situation but you have a roof over

Naturalle Drea Is.....

I have been back and forth about this for a while. The end goal of this blog and my brand that I'm trying to build is success. I have been just trying to figure out my next moves and what steps to take next. This particular move scared me a bit but I feel like I need to take that step out of faith and fully jump into this. You know the saying, if your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough.  Starting August 2nd, Naturalle Drea is will be moving to Word Press and officially naturalledrea.com! I am excited for this move and so thankful for those who started this journey here with me! I started this platform as outlet for myself to talk about the things I love and I have grown and learned so much from when I started over 4 years ago. I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first started but I fell in love with writing and creating content. I never thought I would start a Youtube channel either and I love creating videos (except for editing late at nig

My Blogging and Personal Goals

Hey guys! Lately things have been crazy and hectic and just too crazy. I've been driving myself crazy thinking about too much and stressing out. So I was at work one day and this post popped in my head. I'm setting personal and blogging goals for myself to bring some order to my life and will be doing updates every month for the next 6 months to a year. Let's start with my blogging goals. Set a Blogging Schedule I blog whenever I have a day off or free time and it's always on different days. I want to set a schedule so I can be more prepared and not get behind on posting. I know that life happens and you can't help that sometimes but I feel if I want to be successful at this, I need to be a little more organized. Change Up the Style My blog is still going through changes and will be complete sometime soon. I also want to change the style of my blog a little bit. I've been doing some research and hopefully these are good changes!! Learn More about Blogg
